My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1998 Ford Explorer Limited 4x4. The Ford Explorer is based off of the rugged and reliable Ford Ranger pickup, and is a very capable SUV. I would rate the exterior of this Explorer to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in white over tan, which is an excellent color combination. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few flaws and blemishes here and there commensurate with age and mileage. The worst I can say about the exterior of this truck is a little rub mark and small spot of rust at the LR wheel opening. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily...except the one rear door, which doesn't seem to want to unlock. The rockers look solid, which is uncommon for an Explorer of this age. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels are specific to the Explorer Limited. They show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this truck looks inside and out. I would also rate the interior of this Explorer Limited to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age, too. The dash and headliner are clean. The plush leather seats are specific to the Limited trim package. The seats show well and are very comfortable. The power windows, locks (except the aforementioned stuck rear door lock), seats and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works as it should and the air conditioner also appears to be working. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Explorer. Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. You can feel a little play in the front end, which is not unusual at this age. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly with no issues. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. Like I said, you get an occasional shimmy in the front end...but nothing terrible. If you're looking for a clean SUV that won't break the bank, this Explorer deserves your consideration. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1998 Ford Explorer Limited 4x4. The Ford Explorer is based off of the rugged and reliable Ford Ranger pickup, and is a very capable SUV. I would rate the exterior of this Explorer to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in white over tan, which is an excellent color combination. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few flaws and blemishes here and there commensurate with age and mileage. The worst I can say about the exterior of this truck is a little rub mark and small spot of rust at the LR wheel opening. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily...except the one rear door, which doesn't seem to want to unlock. The rockers look solid, which is uncommon for an Explorer of this age. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels are specific to the Explorer Limited. They show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this truck looks inside and out.
I would also rate the interior of this Explorer Limited to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age, too. The dash and headliner are clean. The plush leather seats are specific to the Limited trim package. The seats show well and are very comfortable. The power windows, locks (except the aforementioned stuck rear door lock), seats and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works as it should and the air conditioner also appears to be working. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Explorer.
Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. You can feel a little play in the front end, which is not unusual at this age. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly with no issues. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. Like I said, you get an occasional shimmy in the front end...but nothing terrible. If you're looking for a clean SUV that won't break the bank, this Explorer deserves your consideration. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Winning Bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us via eBay Message within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. Please do not leave a voicemail on the office phone.
Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are a PennDOT issuing agent and able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyers PennDOT offers a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $45 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance. We can issue them at our office.

There is additional risk in purchasing a vehicle this way versus buying a vehicle from a retail dealership that has been fully serviced, reconditioned and inspected.
