This is an awesome BMW R100S in mint condition. I’m a vintage Moto Guzzi guy but I couldn’t resist picking up this beauty. Just found it in southwest Minnesota. Previous owner, an older gentleman who is giving up riding, bought it from a neighbor who was a retired motorcycle mechanic who rebuilt and babied the machine. The bike runs and rides well. Apparently, it hasn’t had an oil change in a couple of years due to not being ridden, so that’s due. The carb was cleaned last year and the bike ridden once since then, so maybe the carbs will need a quick cleaning, but maybe not; once warmed up, the thing runs like a sewing machine. It also has a new battery in it. I was told that the turn signal and tachometer work intermittently and the in-dash volt meter and temp gauge work but are not hooked up. Has Supertrapp mufflers.The bike comes with spare exhaust header pipes, a box full of parts, an owner’s manual, two different shop manuals, and a shopping bag full of old Airmail (Airhead BMW club) newsletters. The odometer shows 68,982 miles which is hard to believe because the machine is in such pristine condition. Some scratches on the fuel tank and a small dent that is hard to see even close by. Numbers match. Title in hand. No disappointments. The bike is for sale locally, so auction might end early (as long as there are no bids). I will hold the bike in my garage for up to 30 days free of charge and will work with your shipper. I can also pick you up at MSP if you want to do a fly-in / ride-home adventure.
