I have a 1980 Jeep CJ-7 up for auction. This is a turn key Jeep and is ready to ride and enjoy as is. Just about everything on this Jeep has been changed. It has a 401 V8 engine out of an AMC Javelin that has about 10,000 miles on it since rebuild. It has a new set of Hedman fenderwell headers with Thrush side exhaust that sounds awesome, new HEI distributor and wires, new plugs and battery, new solenoid switch installed in the last month. A new Edelbrock aluminum intake and 4 barrel carburetor was installed when it was rebuilt about 3 years ago. Engine runs strong, does not smoke, leak or rattle and will hold 40 lbs. of oil pressure when its warm. The transmission is a GM turbo 400 that has just been serviced with new fluid and filter. The front and rear differentials are Dana units along with the transfer case. All of them work as they should. The transfer case has a very small leak coming from the rear seal. It will leave a quarter size spot on the garage floor after you drive it. The Warn lockout hubs are good also. 4-wheel drive works as it should. I replaced the speedometer to get it working. The Jeep has a Rough Country suspension lift with the heavy duty spring hangers. It has brand new 33x12.50x15 mud terrain tires that have literally not been on the road. It has Mickey Thompson 15x10 aluminum wheels, new centers and lugs also. The Jeep has new Chevrolet Indigo Blue base coat/clear coat paint with new decals and pinstripes. The body has had some rust repair with some patch panels and a minimal amount of body filler. Its not a show Jeep, but an above average driver quality Jeep. Front and rear bumpers are new, fender flares, side marker lenses, park and tail lights, new wipers also. The frame on this Jeep is solid also. My son pressure washed all the undercarriage and painted it with Semi-gloss rustoleum paint. The Jeep has power steering and power brakes. They are drum brakes, but do pretty good considering they are drum brakes. The interior is basically all new including front seats, flip and fold rear seat, factory Jeep carpet set, stereo with usb, mp3 and ipod hookups. New Pioneer speakers and an old school leather wrap steering wheel cover. New Best-top bikini top also. Its been a lot of time and money spent on this Jeep and it shows. I have a lot of the receipts for parts, supplies and labor. Reserve is low compared to some of the other Jeeps I've seen on ebay. I try to describe these vehicle as best as I can.
