I have been collecting Jaguars all my life and purchased my first new XJ6 in 1988. I had problems with the 1988 model and Jaguar actually replaced the 1988 with a brand new 1989 XJ6 after admitting the problem with the '88 was a known defect and their customer service was awesome. The 1989 ended up being my absolute favorite year model Jaguar XJ6. I purchased this nice XJ6, along with 3 other XJ6's 6 years ago from the 2nd owner who purchased it from an estate. It only showed 15,100 miles on the odometer and since it had been stored for twenty years and not driven there were several items I had to fix/repair to make it dependable transportation. In the last 6 years I have replaced the steering pump, valve cover gasket, radio antenna, all new fluids, fuel injectors, fuel pump, fuel filter, tires, NEW PAINT recently, new rear shocks and spring buffer, fuel tank, fuel filler rubber boot, fuses, etc. The paint is new original color code, new clearcoat, new hood ornament. There are a few small door dings under the new paint. Look at pictures and ask any questions. The AutoCheck report shows some crazy mileage reports...I have no idea what is going on with that report. The odometer in the car now reads 19, 500+ and it is driven daily. There is a small leak in the steering pump lines just below the reservoir and I am working on that leak this week. This car has never been smoked in and has no funny odors. The carpet looks new and there is no rust on or in this car. The paint is beautiful and the engine runs great with no issues. I must sell this car because I do not have a garage to store it in and the new paint needs to be protected from excessive weather. I can deliver this car for $1 per mile to anywhere in the USA if you buy my return airfare to Birmingham, Alabama.
