Vehicle Detail
0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false This rust free truck is a 10 out of 10 and in beautiful condition. Not a dent or blemish on it. Its hard to find one with less than 200,000 miles and this one doesn't even have 100,000. It even has a 110 gallon auxiliary diesel fuel tank that is activated by a switch in the cab. That plus the 2 OEM fuel tanks give it a fuel capacity of 147 gallons. At 20 mpg you can go about 2,900 miles between fill ups! I'm selling because I chose not to purchase a 5th wheel so I don’t need this truck. I purchased it from a “Long Haul” trucker who took great care of it. I intended to keep it forever so I painted it and installed a lot of new equipment. It runs and looks like “brand new” and should go for another couple of hundred thousand miles. If you’re looking at this you already know about the legendary 7.3 Powerstroke diesel engine made by Navistar-International for Ford. (Navistar T444E) These diesel engines routinely go over 400,000 miles. Some have gone 1,000,000 miles. There is no smog check or urea needed for this year Powerstroke diesel. It has new Michelin Tires, new Bilstein 5100 shocks, a new Tymar cold air intake, straight through 3" into 4" exhaust, a new TS Chip, Banks Transcommand so it runs even better than brand new. Throttle response is crisp and it has plenty of power and gobs of torque. It shifts perfectly and the transmission was service about 10,000 miles ago. The transmission cooler and Banks Transcommand must be is doing the job because it checked out with a clean bill of health. It has never towed anything heavier than a 8,000 Lb 5th wheel. Air Conditioning is very cold and, of course, the heater is hot. All of the gauges, lights and horn work great. There are no rattles or noises. Doors and windows seal tight. Steering is tight and it tracks down the road smooth and effortlessly. All maintenance has been properly done at suggested intervals. Cooling system additive has always been used to avoid cavitation (very important). Oil changes with Rotella every 3500 miles. Steering linkage was just greased when I installed the Bilsein shocks and has been lubed as per maintenance schedule. I have all of the records and receipts. The interior is excellent. From the top down:1.Headliner and sun visors are perfect 10 out 10.2.Dash has always been covered and it is perfect 10 out of 103.Carpet has always been covered by mats and I just had it cleaned. I rate it a 9 out of 10.4.Back seats have always been covered and never been used so 9 out of 10.5.Front seats have always been covered but have, of course, been used so 8 out of 10. No stains, no rips, very little fabric wear. Electric lumbar support work fine. 6.Steering wheel has always been covered so 10 out of 10.7.Door panels look great no rips or tears so 9 out of 10.* 110 gallon auxiliary fuel tank, with separate fuel filter, in bed. (Switch activated in cab)* 2 OEM fuel tanks (total fuel capacity about 147 gallons. * New OEM paint/clear coat and they used the original paint code. The carpet is in great condition. I just had it professionally cleaned.* I have the pinstripe diesel badges but I have not installed them yet. I'm letting the paint cure. I will install them if you want. Your call.If you want a truck to fix up or tinker with then this one is not for you because everything is done. If you want a rust free California truck that needs nothing and will go for hundreds of thousands of miles with just scheduled maintenance then you've found your truck. This is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this early. On Mar-10-16 at 19:04:14 PST, seller added the following information: I have put $3,500 in upgrades into this truck in the last 2 months. I was going to sell my Class A and purchase a 5th Wheel but decided not to. Several people have asked about the Long Haul Trucker that I purchased it from. He used his 18 wheeler for work and this was his "baby" that he drove for personal use when he was here in Southern California. He took great care of it and expected to keep it forever. His friend gave him a great deal on a 2007 Dodge with the Cummins engine and he could not refuse. So he didn't need this truck. He put it on Craigslist for $11,500. This truck was not used for his work or any other work. It was only used for pleasure. Since he was away a lot he did not put many miles on it. He pulled a small 5th wheel to Lake Perris from Hesperia CA. He knew how to take care of a vehicle and he was fastidious about keeping up on the maintenance. He said that he rarely went over 70 MPH and always kept the RPMs below 2250. He purchased it from the original owner with about 40,000 miles on it. The original owner put the 110 gallon fuel tank on it. I don't know why and neither did the Trucker. I met him at his house and also visited his shop. Both were immaculate. He gave me the original exhaust with the catalytic converter and muffler. I did not have a place to store them so I put it on craigslist for free.
