Offered for sale is my 1974 BMW 2002 TII. It is a nice, very solid, driver quality, factory fuel injected, matching #s 278 VIN on all body locations and engine block TII. Finished in desirable Verona Red with black interior with factory sunroof. This is a very solid example which started life in Southern California and moved to equally dry Montana in the 90's and has remained here which attests to the lack of rust .It has had 1 older repaint in the original Verona Red which still shines and shows well, with a few small dings and fine scratches upon close inspection. The body is straight with all panels and gaps fitting properly. I have been over entire body with magnet and have found no bondo. There were 2 dime size rust holes in the bottom of the spare tire well caused by a faulty trunk weatherstrip which has been replaced and holes sealed. Mechanically: The engine was rebuilt at 100k by previous owner. It runs quietly, pulls strong , doesn't smoke or use much oil. Fuel injection was recently rebuilt by our local top BMW repair shop. Flex disc on drive line was replaced also for a smooth ride. Original 4 spd. transmission shifts smoothly with no strange noises. Brakes stop car easily with no pulling or noises. Steering is tight. Original radiator has been upgraded to a 320i radiator so engine runs cool even at idle. It has an Ansa Sport Muffler which gives it a little more rumble. All door handles, locks and trunk work as they should. All glass is very good to excellent. Sun Roof works as it should and headliner still looks great. The exterior chrome and trim still look very good although not perfect. The interior: Seats all look good although the rear seat has lost its loft from age. Front seat has 1 tear lower left back. Console and door panels are excellent. Dash is nice except for 1 crack by fasten seat belt light which is very common on 74s. Speedo, tach, lights and gauges all work except heater blower. Original carpet is very good except worn under drivers floor mat. Tires are older Potenzas with very good tread on upgrade gold BBS rims, but are showing some sidewall cracking from lack of use. I just drive to the golf course or bakery and home so I don't have an issue with tires but if someone was going to put it through the paces or long distance the tires would have to be addressed. Spare tire, jack, tool kit, owners manuals, repair manuals, some recent receipts, and a clear Montana title in my name all come with the sale. I hope the photos give you a clear idea of the condition. I have tried to describe everything honestly and clearly.
