Vehicle Detail

This is a BMW 330i, 2001 model. It has a 3.0 liter straight 6 cylinder engine. It is owned by my nephew, but I recently performed a lot of work to it. Repairs entailed the following. It had a head gasket leak and the clutch went out. So all of these items were repaired. Some pictures are included. The head was removed, disassembled, cleaned and reassembled, new valve seals were used in the assembling of the valves springs and valves to the head. I used copper coat on the head gasket to ensure sealing and to prevent corrosion in the future. The previous head gasket suffered failure due to corrosion. The top of the engine was reassembled. The Vanos Unit was rebuilt using new seals, so if you know anything about BMWs, you know this is a quirky item for them. All timing tools and vanos tools were used during the assembly process to ensure timing was correct. Attention was then turned to the clutch issues. I discovered the original flywheel was out of tolerance, so a new aluminum one was installed with a new clutch. Before that, a new rear main seal was installed. Everything was reassembled, transmission and all. After a review of all of the repairs, the engine was started and warmed up to operating temperature and to ensure no leaks were happening. This engine does not leak, period. The car was then driven carefully for about 15 minutes, running through the gears. No issues there. The clutch operates very easily. After the initial run, I inspected to ensure no leaks, still no leaks. I then proceeded to drive the car normally several times running up the RPMs and the engine revs very nicely through all of the gears. However, a code does appear due to the Vanos seals replacement. I have had this code evaluated by the local mechanic that once the seals are worn into there assembly, the code will eventually go away on its own. I am able to clear the code and it stays away for 4 cycles of starting and turning off the engine. Intially, the code would be on upon first start up, now it stays gone for 4 cycles. The code is P0011 for Exhaust bank cam over-advanced. The shop informed me that since the cam sensors are new BMW Units, they are reading correctly and that when Vanos seals are replaced, it is not uncommon to get this code and that once the seals are worn it, the code will go away. Please ask any questions pertaining to this issue. This car is a very nice car and I wouldn't hesitate to make it my daily driver, but its not my car. It is very comfortable with leather and heated seats. The A/C works fine and fan speeds up high as well. The Harmon Cardon Stereo system works very well too. "M" wheels all around, good brakes and plenty of tread on the tires as well. I do accept offers in this fixed price listing.
