No cold start problem as is  typical with these trucks with pre-ignition pinging (carb rebuilt and  distributor serviced for timing). Engine is original, as far as I know  and runs extremely well. To be clear, this is believed to be the  original 1977 engine built to run with the smog equipment which is  currently still atached. It is not a modified engine and is not a  race engine. This engine has been kept bone stock, on purpose! I have driven this truck a couple hundred  miles since purchased with no issues with the engine or transmission and  I have had both professionally reviewed by the experts (I am not a car  guy so I take it to a professional shop). Shop with confidence 1/2016 Body & Paint Work Truck completely checked out and refurbished. All  body work taken care of. The truck is extremely straight. As there was  no major rust of any kind, due to the truck living its whole life in the  California desert, with zero humidity, snow or salt the requirement for  extensive body work was minimal. Presence of Bondo is extremely  minimal. Bed and hood are strait and in perfect condition. The color  of the truck was changed and Chevrolet badges removed. The original  color was a similar beige but slightly darker. The bed was not removed  from the truck. Paint job looks great for a driver. This is a driver  and not a show truck, so don't expect a $10,000 paint job. There are  imperfections. 1/2016 New Carpet Throughout The seats were removed and the carpet was replaced with a new carpet  kit 1/2016 New Seats & Console Seats and console were replaced from a recent year donor vehicle.   Seats freshly shampooed and detailed. 1/2016 Replaced Dash Pad with New The dash was cracked from the sun over time and was  recently replaced with an aftermarket hard dash replacement kit. Looks  factory. The dash has also been reshot with the new beige paint. The  dash pad has a mark from the installation crew on the passenger's side,  as well as the center console (as seen in listing pictures). The  detailer used some industrial strength cleaner that affected some of the  dye. I have included a new can of dye if the buyer wants to touch up 1/2016 Silver Exterior Trim Pieces All the trim, including the wheel well and the tailgate have been  replaced after paint and body work. It does blow  cold. Almost too efficient. 11/2015 All Dash Components Works (with the folllowing  exception) All the in dash gauges work fine, but as the steering column was  replaced last month the cable which connects the transmission arm, on  the column to the indicators (P/R/N/D1/D2, etc.) is not active.   This is common wth steering column replacements, but the car steers and  drives fine. The analog clock is inoperative 11/2015 Steering Column Replaced Truck previously had oversized tires which damaged the steering  mechanism over time. All was professionally repaired and corrected  during recent restoration 11/2015 Door Panels Original door panels were re-dyed and furnished with new hardware  (door handles and window roll up handles) 11/2015 New Door Rubber on Both Sides A new rubber kit was installed on both doors.   Doors fit and close fine, but since the rubber is new you now need to  close the doors a little harder, just until the rubber acclimates 11/2015 New pedals, knobs and rubber All pedals have been serviced with new rubber, rubber boot for 4  wheel drive shifter, many new dash knobs 11/2015 Chrome Exhaust Tips 1/2016 Motor Oil & Transmission Fluid Changed 11/2015 Running Lights & Push Bar The running lights are newly added including the switch under the  dash and the push bars on the front bumper were existing but were  removed, sanded and repainted and reinstalled on the truck 11/2015 Wiper Blades Not shown in picture, but replaced this weekend Seat Belts Seat belts work fine but are showing their age. They need to  be re-dyed or replaced 11/2015 Running Lights Aftermarket running lights installed and working **** Disclosures **** This is a  40 year old daily driver. It is not a new truck and please don't expect a perfect  new show truck. I would not hesitate to get into this  truck today and drive it from California to Florida, in comfort, and expect no  issues.
