Up for sale is my 1972 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow LWB. It is the last year these cars were produced with the proper chrome bumpers as they were intended to have (1973 was the start of the DOT mandated black plastic ones). This car has been in my family for a while and has been well taken care of. This car was driven regularly (at minimum 2-3 times per week) and does not have problems associated with cars that sit in a garage and are only driven once every 6 months. The car was repainted about 10 years ago and the paint is in beautiful condition, it shines like new and the body does not have an ounce of rust on it. The car runs and drives great with no issues at all. The brake and hydraulic suspension work perfectly (NEVER ever ever buy a Rolls-Royce that needs brake work, it will never pay off as it is ridiculously expensive if not maintained properly). Everything works on this car, the power windows, the power seats, the radio antenna, all the lights, the A/C blows cold, the horn......so many of these cars don't get used that they fall into disrepair. The wood trim is in remarkable condition for a 45 year old automobile. The only two items that show some wear are- The front seat bottoms and drivers door card show average wear of a car that has been used but all of the other leather is in excellent condition. The Everflex top does have a few cracks in it but is still extremely presentable. I get looks every day I drive this car with people coming up to talk to me everywhere I go. I is a real attention getter. The only reason I am selling this car is because I have purchased an older Rolls-Royce, a Silver Cloud, and I only have room for one extra car. I recently did replace the front brake pads (with OEM Rolls-Royce pads) and replaced the parking brake cables (OEM Rolls-Royce cables) as they were frozen for $1,800. All in all you will not find another Silver Shadow that is this nice for anywhere near this price, this car is extremely reliable (I just took it on a 3 hour trip to Naples a few weeks ago and it performed beautifully) and had I not been ready to move on to an older Rolls-Royce I would not be selling it.
