Here's that easy project truck a lot of people are looking for, but rarely find. For Sale: my 1961 GMC 3500 Stepside truck.Original 305 V6. Runs and drives. E-brake works. 106,791 miles on body. Engine and clutch was rebuilt 300 miles ago. original 4 speed manual on the floor.was told it has a posi-track rear end 2wd, 8ft bed. The original wood in the bed is in nice condition with the exception of a couple cracks in wood, and the bed itself is not rotted. theres also an old brake booster under dash. Original spotlight, but needs new bulb and wiring from what i see. Includes the original optional delux heater and hydraulic clutch. Has all 4 original 16.5 tires and rims plus original spare. . The owner before me added a bigger rear bumper,hitch,and trailer light port. don't know if the port works. Truck comes with new floor pans for cab,and plenty of various small vintage original mechanical parts. frame is solid and heavy duty. Door jambs are not rotted. the bad; no outside mirrors,battery,or gas..cab body work mostly. needs cab corners,rockers,drivers front fender,and possibly passenger front fender.a headlight bezel,windshield has crack in it at passengers side. both master and slave cylinders need some attention.Holes in brake and clutch lines so good luck getting a good pump from the clutch pedal to switch gears.. dual exhaust only stops just underneath of truck..someone stripped the ignition out, but i bought another ignition that will need installed. so, no keys for door. manual choke cable,vent cables, and the couple other cables need a good lube job..original holly carb squirts gas out of the back of it when truck is running. cab floor have holes that could be patched. bench seat needs re-upohlstered..Could use a paint job unless you like the old patina rat rod style. Someone recently looked at the truck and i'm not sure what they did but the passenger door doesnt want to latch when you shut it now. Has a clean title! Vehicle is As Is, no warranty, and is being sold locally. So I have the right to end auction early if truck sells. Holiday special, price reduced. Price Negotiable.
