Vehicle Detail
Thank you for reading! 1966 Aluminum grille, heat works, engine/trans/rear good. Pertronix electronic ignition. Buy with confidence in drivetrain part being reliable. Know this: Truck needs cab mounts, better wiper blades, replace slight leaking wheel cylinder ( included), cracked exhaust manifold, partly cracked windshield ( ok for now)one parking light out, brake light switch, rag joint( kit parts included),cab has small holes in corners of floorboards. Rust above windshield, but no discernable leak inside. The springs are awesome. Excellent for towing, has a body that will likely always be in style. 1966 was the last year for no side markers or reverse lights. Has good twin I-beam suspension and the deep floorboard . If you chose chrome bumpers( bolt on) and new rims, it would be very attractive and would always be noticed by Ford fans. There are many Ford lovers over 40 who knew someone who owned a truck similar to this. I grew up listening to the sounds they make and the habits these trucks have. Did you know with these body styles, when the wind is blowing just right, while the truck is parked, a musical sound can be heard whistling through the body at different tones just like a wind chime. Kids and grandkids fall in love with the sounds and sights the truck has while you drive it. Its calming and therapeutic, and they never forget the trip. The truck operates on simple systems that the average person can maintain, and I have driven it hundreds of miles with a 1+ ton payload, and it doesn't strain at all with the big brakes and springs. I hope you cruise this good in a truck too!
