Vehicle Detail
Mercedes 190 runs well. 5 matching tires with about 4K mile on them. Just did a valve job, no smoke or leaks. Front brake hoses replaced and fluid flushed. Weber carburetor, new ignition wires. Interior is OK, seats nice with the exception of the drivers seat which needs seat pads and some separation on the MB-tex material. Dash is cracked due to a lifetime in the desert. Overall the best thing is the lack of serious rust. Although there is some surface rust showing underneath, the pans, rockers and floors are solid. The car has been in New Mexico it's entire life. I purchased the car last fall as a project car. Subsequently my wife fell in love with a diesel wagon and now I have more cars than garage space. The paint is mostly original and good enough for a driver. The roof and trunk need a respray due to poor storage under a cover. Trans shifts great and the car is surprisingly peppy. Drives very nicely with a recent wheel alignment. Has a newer working radio and an old Blaupunkt is included. Heat works great. All in all it is much better than most. A solid set of bones that runs well, fun to drive, but in need of a much TLC. Feel free to contact me. 260 704 5006 Mike
