1981 VW Rabbit Truck - Diesel “Caddy” Rare opportunity to own an awesome classic. These don’t pop up very often and when they do they aren’t as solid as this original paint beauty. This is a Super Solid West Coast Truck! It still has the California plates on it, but they are not included. A friend of mine from high school drove it back from California in July. So the truck has been on the east coast for less than 6 months. It has never seen an east coast winter or salt. This truck; Runs good Drives good Shifts good Stops good Steers good Tires are good All lights work good It is road legal and currently registered and insured until Friday Dec 8th. This is a very original truck with no modifications. It is very complete and would make an awesome driver or restoration project. I do not have the CA title. I only have the CA registration and will also write a bill of sale. I can obtain the title for the fees the DMV charges if need be, but it will take some time to receive it. This truck still has the Original Paint and has virtually zero rust, just a very few minor surface as pictured. The little bit of rust it does have is very far cancer rust. You don’t find unrestored vehicles that are 35 years old and look like this very often. Don’t sleep on this one! It’s a VW, so it will need some tinkering. It leaks oil (not sure from where), the water pump needs to be replaced and I think it might need a CV joint soon, horn does't work, speedometer doesn't work, milage reads 87,119, but is closer to 130K, but all the wheel bearings and seals were just replaced and I have receipts for over $3,500 of work completed since 2013.
