Beautiful Blue Low Mile Dealer Serviced...what more do you need??? Gorgeous exterior on this one! Front bumper cover is in excellent shape. No damages, cracks or holes. Just the 2 license frame holes. Vinyl looks great. Minimal parking curb rash underneath. Hood has minimal typical rockchips. I'm no bodyman but I can't see any signs of any major repairs or repaints. All exterior illumination works perfectly. Body panels are straight with only a handful of dings to be seen. Front tires are brand new with not more than 100 miles on em. Rear tires are Michelins with easily 60+% treadlife left implying dealer history since Volvo pushes that brand. Teeny tiny rear tire or bearing noise that isn't noticable unless you have complete interior silence. ALL ride on nice clean damage/vibration free rims at every corner and are ready for the winter. Unseen are the nearly new front and rear brakes. Upon further inspection, yours truly discovered NEW outer tie rod ends, Bellows boots on the rack and pinion and a new stabilizer link. The car drives beautifully straight over any pavements with no unusual pulling or wandering altho I did get a random light steering squeak(when first picked up) that I blamed on the goofy warm-cold weather here and the car sitting undriven for some time. It hasn't returned since I have been driving the car. For the records, I have logged nearly 100 miles on it to ensure it's reliability. Suspension is nice and tight with no rattles or noises. Further inspection shows gasket material at the transmission seams, providing proof that the transmission has been opened up/rebuilt. Transmission shifts thru every gear as it should with no issues. Even tho it could still use a professional buff to remove the light scratches and scuffs, the paint shines very well as you can see. Rear bumper cover looks great as well with only the one small paint crack below and a few chips. As you may have noticed the biggest eyesore on the car is above...the half dollar sized rust spot. Sadly the S40s suffered in this department versus most the Volvo lineup. This was usually the "spot" for it along with the fronts where a mudflap SHOULD be, but wasn't since it was an option on these cars. The spot can easily be repaired if desired. Above you can see a tiny bit of rust along the body seam and under the door lip. Again, minor and only noticable when you get down at eye level to point it out. Amazingly, the would be mudflap area is clean on this car!! Nice clean engine compartment. Altho they aren't the quietest motors, this 1.9liter is SUPER reliable! This one has a less than 8k mile old timing belt. Next one is due at 200k+!! Further inspection also provided me with MORE Volvo servicing aside the obvious timing tag. Volvo platinum spark plugs are new. Recent Volvo air filter. Volvo Exhaust Cam gear and cam VVT solonoid/gasket are new. These were notorious for throwing a cam timing code. Sometimes installing new parts didn't eliminate the code from the programming being so sensitive. NOT a problem with this car!! No engine lights or codes! Finally, under the car is clean. No rust etc. Exhaust has a new flex joint and resonator delete (these usually made more rattle noise with age than it was worth). All great upgrades and signs of proper care and maintenance. Engine fires right up with the strong Interstate battery. As stated, the transmission shifts as it should. Turbo is strong and quiet. No overheating. No signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. No spots on my shop floor overnight. Ready for another 100,000+ miles!! Interior is in awesome condition! I HATE smoke and can't see or smell any signs of a former smoker. Carpet is clean. Leather is great with minimal wear. No damages. A few light cleanable spots but nothing to be concerned about. Driver's bolster has minimal wear. Steering wheel has a couple worn spots on the left lower area. Door panels look great. Buttons are minimally worn. ONLY visual complaints would be the usual climate and radio knobs showing minor fade and the headliner looks to have been reglued in spots with some typical "bleed" from the glue. Only seen if you look up. Otherwise ok. As you can see, ALL the dummy lights illuminate upon startup with NONE staying on during run. Even after my approx 100 miles worth of running around over a few days. 120k miles??? This car is still a baby by Volvo standards! All the power items seem to be working as they should: Heated front seats, climate control, HOT heat, ICE COLD Air Conditioning (compressor kicks on as it should), power windows, power locks, power sunroof, cruise, AM/FM/Cassette (I will throw in a cassette adapter to hook up your media player if you remind me to give it to you), Winter trans mode, traction control, power mirrors, etc! Factory floor mats are decently clean. Unseen is the complete spare setup, aired up ready for your roadtrip! ALL the factory manuals are included with a BONUS!!! Note the non-Volvo keyfob. Yes there is keyless entry with this fob but....REMOTE START IS INCLUDED!! YAY! And it works!! SO, even tho there is only one ignition key, there is most likely another stashed in a box under the dash for the RF modulated signal for the remote starter. All this and NO RESERVE!!! Winner winner!
