Rule # 1 if you are not going to buy the car and you are going to lie about your travel plans, when you are coming etc etc etc, then don't bid. Ebayers are usually great, but you do run into a looser now and then, 1984 Pontiac Parisienne Brougham - Same as Chevrolet Caprice I am listing this for the original owners - they are an elderly couple that bought the car new. The car was the wife's car and also filled the "good car" bill as well. The mileage is 39,556 and has a PA State inspection good thought May 2016. Still being the 2nd car it has really not been driven much the last 10 years, just enough to keep it going and of course PA State inspected each year. The car suffers from the typical bumps and bruises, door dings etc that seem to go along with elderly owners and a smallish two car garage. The hood and trunk lids also acted as storage shelves so there is scratching present. Vinyl top is in excellent condition. The car is totally rust free and extremely clean underneath. Tires are all good with two spares that go with the car and of course the donut. Engine is the 5.0 and does smoke some on start up which is common for the 5.0's of this vintage, plus it's been sitting and just needs run more. It does not smoke once running. I personally took the car for a nice drive and it drives and handles superbly - quiet, solid and smooth and responsive. I personally would have felt comfortable heading it down the road on a long trip it ran and drove so well. The A/C needs charged as it has not been used in at least 10 years. Interior is in remarkable condition and with a good detail and steam clean I would say it would be close to mint. Of course the Brougham option gives you the plush seats and extra plush carpet. A bonus is it has had the headliner professionally replaced in the past. Owners have always kept the car maintained well and always had done what was needed to keep it in excellent driving condition.
