1985 was the last year Mercedes built the gorgeous 123 series turbo diesel coupe . They made these legendary cars between 1978 and 1985 , but only for the last 4 years with the turbo version . They are known to be the most reliable and enduring cars Mercedes Benz ever produced . You often find them with over 500k miles and still running well . This particular car was finished in anthracite grey ( MB color code 171)  with Palomino color MB-tex interior . It is a stunning color combination . I just recently got this car from the original owner and it has been extremely well maintained . He bought it brand new in 1985 and it has been pampered ever since .This car comes with the a clean Carcheck report ( high score of 68 ) and the complete history since new . There is the dealer stamped service book and another 127 dealer receipts for proof of a outstanding service history . Any little mechanical thing was always attended to right away . It has always been garaged and it shows . The body is in very nice condition with only very small dings or scratches from 30 years of pampered use . The paint is still very nice and shiny. The interior is very clean as well . There are no tears in the seats and they are still firm . The carpets and door panels are clean and even the original dash is in great condition. Everything seems to be working the way it should . The AC blows ice cold and even the original radio including the power antenna still works . The sunroof , the power door locks, the cruise control, the windows and all the gauges work . There are no leaks or funny noises . This 300CD has great power and the transmission is shifting smooth .The tires have more than 85% of thread left and the battery is brand new . I would not hesitate to take it on a long distance trip at a moments notice . It has been recently serviced and is ready to go . If you have any more specific service questions , please ask .
