My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1996 E-250 HD with the hard to find 4.9L inline six cylinder engine. I would rate the exterior of this E-250 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is van shows well for an older work van. It is finished in standard white, which shows its age well. As with most older vans, there is visible rust through on the rockers on both sides. However, I've seen much worse. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood and doors all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory steel wheels show well (the one missing center cap is in the van). The front tires are Michelin's and the rears are aggressive, knobby tires which should help out in the snow. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this E-250 HD to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As with most work vans, the interior is fairly basic. Both front seat cushions are torn from age. The rubber floors show well. The dash and headliner show well, too. Both windows roll up and down easily. The heater works well and the stereo is original. There is a full partition separating the rear cargo area from the passenger area. The partition also has a working, locking door for internal access to the cargo area. Back in the cargo area, the floor and walls show well. There is a nice set of locking cabinets and bins installed. It looks like all the keys are included for the cabinets, etc. If you need the cabinets and bins, great...they're already there for you. If you don't need them, just take them out and sell them...you could probably get decent money for them. Mechanically, this van appears to be in good running and driving condition. This E-250 HD comes with the desirable 4.9L inline six cylinder engine, which is hard to find in the heavier trucks and vans. The 300ci straight six is nearly indestructible and is known to have a service life of several hundred thousand miles. She starts right up and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine doesn't smoke. The only thing I noticed is an audible exhaust leak that sounds like it is coming from where the manifold meets the exhaust...probably just the little ring gasket got old and broke up. It's not super loud but you can hear it. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. Her road manners are good for an old van. The suspension feels tight and confident. Steering and braking feels good, too. The only warning light on is the airbag light. The engine makes good power and feels strong. The automatic overdrive transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. This van has the tall highway gears so she cruises easily at highway speeds. This feels like a solid old van that is ready to go to work. There is a full partition separating the rear cargo area from the passenger area. The partition also has a working, locking door for internal access to the cargo area. Back in the cargo area, the floor and walls show well. There is a nice set of locking cabinets and bins installed. It looks like all the keys are included for the cabinets, etc. If you need the cabinets and bins, great...they're already there for you. If you don't need them, just take them out and sell them...you could probably get decent money for them.
Mechanically, this van appears to be in good running and driving condition. This E-250 HD comes with the desirable 4.9L inline six cylinder engine, which is hard to find in the heavier trucks and vans. The 300ci straight six is nearly indestructible and is known to have a service life of several hundred thousand miles. She starts right up and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine doesn't smoke. The only thing I noticed is an audible exhaust leak that sounds like it is coming from where the manifold meets the exhaust...probably just the little ring gasket got old and broke up. It's not super loud but you can hear it. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. Her road manners are good for an old van. The suspension feels tight and confident. Steering and braking feels good, too. The only warning light on is the airbag light. The engine makes good power and feels strong. The automatic overdrive transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. This van has the tall highway gears so she cruises easily at highway speeds. Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are a PennDOT issuing agent and able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyers PennDOT offers a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $45 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance. We can issue them at our office.
