Truck was locked in barn for over 25 years. Until just a few months ago. Here is what I have done to it. 1. replaced gas tank and flushed lines. 2. rebuilt carb. 3. cleaned brake lines, calipers, etc. 4. installed new set of tires. 5. changed oil and installed battery, sparkplugs, points, and air filter. Now, I drive it almost every day. Here are facts and observations listed in no particular order. Most of Your questions should be answered here:1. engine runs very good. - no smoke - holds good oil pressure - automatic choke works - idles smooth2. quiet exhaust. 3. transmission shifts out correctly4. rear diff is full of clean oil5. Fuel gauge works. - oil pressure gauge works. - speedometer and odometer work. temperature gauge works. The lights work in all of the gauges. including the transmission gear selector indicator light. brake lights and blinkers work front and rear.6. Factory air conditioner. ( compressor is locked )7. Paint looks mostly original. RF fender and right side of hood are a different shade of green.8. tailgate is dented and rusty.9. floors, door bottoms and rocker panels solid and original.10. no broken glass11. body is very straight. (passenger door has slight side swipe damage down low). No bad leaks of any kind. You should be able to drive this truck home if You like. But, it sells as-is.
