Vehicle Detail

This is a 1959 Morgan +4 roadster in the rare drop head coupe body style. It is completely running and driving and is currently licensed. This car had most recently belonged to a long time Morgan enthusiast that past away a few years ago. It has been well maintained and kept over the years. The steel frame looks to be in very good shape with only minor surface rust showing. The wooden floors are nice and solid. The body is very straight and presentable. The paint is old but nice looking and overall the car looks great. The doors fit and open and shut nice. The old leather interior is a bit rough but still quite comfortable and very usable. The wood dash is nice. It has original metal side curtains with sliding glass windows in good condition. The tachometer and oil pressure gauges work great, The speedometer and temp gauge do not work. The fuel gauge appears to work but not sure how accurate. The amp gauge works but reads reversed (needs wires switched) the charging system does work. It has a new 12v battery. Electrics are in good order. Lights, wipers, horn all work. The convertible top is rough but still very usable. The engine is in very good condition. It starts easily, idles very smooth, has great oil pressure and makes good power. The brakes work excellent as does the clutch. It shifts nicely through all gears. The suspension and steering are smooth and tight as they should be. It's quite a nice driving car. The tyres are decent and it has a good spare. It has a clear Washington state title and is currently licensed as a collector vehicle. Overall this is what you might refer to as a driver quality car. It looks good and is very usable. There is definitely some signs of body filler in the lower doors and body but no evidence of major damage or repair and no obvious rust. It's a perfect candidate for a cosmetic restoration or just to enjoy as is. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and arrangements. I highly recommend and encourage a personal inspection if possible. The Morgan can be viewed by appointment in Kirkland, WA (near Seattle) I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
