Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a fantastic 1968 Ford F100 Shop Truck. This is an original super clean Alabama truck with less than 78,000 miles. The truck was upgraded with a great running 302, backed by a 3 speed automatic and a 9" ford posi rear. Everything on the drive train of this truck has been either rebuilt, replaced with new and or restored. As you can see from the photos the engine was upgraded with an Edelbrock intake and 600cfm carb, new ceramic coated headers and a full custom Flowmaster dual exhaust....custom chrome tips were added to give it that great hot rod look and sound! This is truly one of the best running and driving Fords I have ever had, the truck runs a steady 180 degrees even in traffic on a hot summer day. The truck shifts great and runs down the road as smooth as a new car! The truck doesnt squeak, rattle or make any strange noises. The suspension of the truck is all new with a DJM lowering kit in the front & back which lowered the truck by 5" in the rear and 4" in the front. The truck has a great stance and the ride height is perfect! The truck has new drum brakes all around including all new lines front to back, the truck stops great with those big drums. The truck is sitting on all new Nitto rubber with new custom painted Vintage steel wheels and chrome Ford caps. The fronts are 17" X 8" with 235/60/17, and the rears are 17" x 10" with 275/55/17. The interior of the truck is all new, including the seat, carpet and dash as well as a fresh coat of paint. The instrument cluster was restored and is clear and bright like new again. The radio is a new Custom Autosound vintage looking system to match the original AM radio, the speakers are also Custom Autosound and are hidden under the seat. I wanted to preserve the vintage look of the interior so everything looks stock. The glass is all new with new seals as well as window sweeps and fuzzys. The truck is sporting the original maroon color but was repainted many years ago, the paint was flattened using a simple process to remove the shine but retains that classic patina look. The top was just repainted as well as the new bumpers, grill and wheels to match. The body is very straight and all the original trim is as well. The door handles and mirrors as well as the emblems are new. The hood has minimal rust starting on the under side and there is some minor surface rust on the lower doors, but no holes. again the surface rust is very small and minor, I didn't want to change the patina look so I didn't mess with it. As for the under side of the truck, this is the cleanest rust free original truck you will find! Look at the photos and you will see a clean body color undercarriage. The bed of the truck is clean and has a fresh red Rino Coating. This is a very clean, great looking and driving shop truck with that classic patina look! Ive taken the truck to several local car shows and it always draws a crowd when you open the hood. I'm a private seller not a dealer and I have a clean Florida title in my name, I'm located on the east cost of Florida about an hour north of Palm Beach. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks again for looking at the truck!
