2005 Volkswagen Phaeton NO RESERVE! This is my 2005 VW Phaeton V8 AWD. I purchased this Phaeton from the original owner earlier this year(original listing can be seen in the pictures). The car has a clean CarFax(see pictures) with no reported accidents. This is a very rare car with only 820 being imported to the US in 2005. They are built on the chassis of a Bentley Continental Flying Spur and the 335HP engine of an Audi A8. Original window sticker which is included has a price of $75K new (that's $92K+ today adjusted for inflation!) Phaeton owners have included Pope Benedict, Mick Jagger, William Shatner, Kim Jung Il, and Sly Stalone. Reality is, I really do not need a second car at the moment.The previous owner had the timing belt, water pump, alternator and thermostat replaced at 95,000 miles. The previous owner also had the front struts and the compressor replaced earlier this year (Jan 2015) with re-manufactured units from Rebuild Master Tech. During my ownership I have: installed new Bosch OE spark plugs, a new AGM convenience battery, new All-Season High-Performance tires, new Lloyd "Ultimat" floor-mats, and I added a Dension Bluetooth module.The car runs well and has been a pleasure to drive. I have noted a few cosmetic defects in the 24 pictures here on eBay and on the 13 minute YouTube video. Please Note: The drivers soft close option does not work (it never bothered me), some curb rash on the wheels, split seam on driver seat bolster, and a few parking scuffs and bruises on the car. The car may be due for some new sway bar end-links which are rather inexpensive from VW (~$140). Also the drivers side mirror does have some corrosion of the black powder-coating, this was a common manufacturer defect and VW had been replacing them gratis for customers, used mirrors can also be had on eBay for cheap. The car has a clear Massachusetts title and is located in Western Massachusetts. I will run this as a true No Reserve auction. Potential buyers are more than welcome to inspect and test drive the car in person before the auction ends. Additionally I would be happy to assist with shipping if the winning bidder would like to have the car shipped. Reasonable door-to-door shipping rates through U-Ship can be seen under the shipping tab. The car is still driven so mileage may go up slightly before the auction closes.
