Vehicle Detail
Listing this for a friend any questions call Russ at 760-535-6348 1930 model a ford sports coupe, great running driving AV8. this car was put together a couple years back using a body off an older restored car, body is in nice shape, some patches in the lower wheel wells, very little rust, very straight, paint is probably 30 years old and shows it with chips, scratches and peeling in spots, has that perfect worn in feel. the frame is a boxed model a with an original 32 K member installed. Front suspension is an original dago dropped 1932 heavy axle with split wishbones, roundback 37-41 spindles, and 40 brakes. rear is a model a with a t spring to lower it again with 40 brakes, all bushings/ kingpins/ brakes/ tierod ends, etc. were new when the car was put together 2 years ago. steering is vega, with a limeworks column and original banjo wheel. pedals are modified 35/36 ford with a mustang dual master cylinder. the car runs down the road straight, handles, steers and stops great. 16" Kelsey hayes wires with big and little blackwalls. engine is a 59a flathead, not a fresh rebuild but it was gone through at some point and runs great, it does smoke a little as most of them do but has great oil pressure and runs smooth, transmission is a good old 39 box, shifts smooth. the combo makes for a proven reliable driver, making it without issue on several reliability runs, being used as a push car at el mirage and even winning the flathead class at the king of clubs race at barona drag strip 2 years in a row. Custom built headers made out of 36 drive shafts, aluminum radiator to keep it cool, early fan mount generator rebuilt and converted to 12 volt. shipping is up to the buyer but I do have someone I could recommend to haul it. hot rod street rod vintage sportcoupe
