1966 GMC ½ ton Short bed, V8, disk auto California unfinished project This 66 GMC 1000 is the same as the Chevy C10 half ton. This truck is an unfinished project but fairly complete. It has a clear title. It has a reportedly rebuilt small block; I will look for ID numbers tomorrow . I installed a starter and cranked it with a fuel can. It fired on some cyls through open exhaust, and when cranked ignition off was even indicating equal compression on all cylinders. It has an automatic transmission, but the cooling lines and driveshaft are not hooked up. It has power steering with a tilt wheel. It has front disk brakes and a vacuum boosted master cyl. It is on 8 lug wheels with a 15 bolt differential cover, its either ¾ or one-ton axle. The bed has no wood left. The interior is fair. Rust is non-existent by eastern standards, but it is there, study the photos. The roof is completely rust free; the rear corners have a little. Driver’s window is broken but have new one in package. Comes with two bench seats; I don’t know if either is stock. You are welcome to come and inspect the truck before bidding, or send an appraiser.
