Vehicle Detail

I am listing an original 1976 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade Levi's Edition for the original owner. The Jeep has the 304 V8, automatic transmission with quadra-trac. This is a one owner Jeep with the original title, original paint, original seats and top. The miles are correct at 60,181. The Jeep was purchased new at Hinkle Jeep in South Carolina on January 16, 1976. Original sale price of $4,556.52 with the lien being released on December 18th, 1978. The Jeep is completely stock and original with the exception of the headers that were installed in the early 80's, but I have the original exhaust manifolds and the smog pump that will be included with the Jeep. We replaced the tires because of dry rot from sitting since 1989. The tags on it were last renewed in 1989. The Jeep was partly under a lean to shed with the drivers side catching most of the weather. The frame is perfect with only surface rust. No rust thru on the frame at all, surface rust only. The tub is rusty on the drivers side and will require serious panel replacement. The passengers side is not bad and could be repaired with some minor patch panels. Floor pans in the front will need replacing also. Another tub could be an option and possibly would be cheaper. I have another rust free tub and fenders that I would consider selling separate to the winning bidder if interested. It is not included in this auction. This auction is for the Jeep as you see it. We put a new fuel pump, battery, oil sending unit and ignition solenoid switch on the Jeep and ran a fuel line into a fresh gas jug and the Jeep fired right up and runs great. No rattles, no knocks and a very small amount of smoke when it first started. It has not smoked any since and has been ran several times. All gauges except fuel gauge work, heater fan works, lights work. None of the wiring has been hacked up, spliced or cut into on this Jeep. All the buttons are on the dash. The original radio is still in the Jeep. Dash pad is not cracked. This Jeep needs work and money spent on it to restore it, but you don't see true, correct, numbers matching Levi's Edition Jeeps anymore, especially 1 owners with 60,181 miles on them. The Jeep cranks, runs and drives as is. The brakes are weak at best. I did not put any gas in the gas tank because I didn't want to chance the new pump pulling rust or bad gas up in it considering how good it runs. I have another rust free tub and fenders that I would consider selling separate to the winning bidder if interested. I have 2 shippers that I use and can put the winning bidder in contact or furnish a shipping quote. Please look at all the pics and consider what you are buying. You could drive this Jeep as a farm or hunting vehicle and with a little work on the brakes and possibly gas tank have it roadworthy, but in my opinion this is a Jeep that needs restoring back to its original glory. You just don't see them like this anymore all original, 1 owner Levi's Jeeps. It is a project for sure, but it will be a high dollar Jeep when its fixed given the originality, mileage and 1 owner status. Please look at my feedback. I try to describe these vehicles as best as I can an put pics on that show problem areas. Please ask any questions as I check my email daily. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. On Nov-08-15 at 19:46:20 PST, seller added the following information: Bidders with less than 5 feedback please email me or call me before you bid or it will be cancelled. It costs a lot to list these vehicles and people running up the bid to see what the reserve is and then not following thru cost me money and time, relisting fees and more time. With that being said, if you want to bid and have intentions on buying a Jeep that's great. Look at my feedback and see I take this serious and so should the bidders. I'm not being hard to get along with, its just good business.
