Vehicle Detail
I have an awesome 1977 Jeep CJ-7 summer-time, fun time ride up for auction. This Jeep has had literally thousands spent on it. It is not a show Jeep, but is an above average driver quality Jeep. This Jeep has a really good running gear in it. The engine does not rattle, leak or smoke and fires up the 1st time everytime. It has been serviced with all the fluids topped off including the transfer case and both differentials. It has new plugs, new battery, new headers, new Thrush side exhaust mufflers that sound awesome. The 4 wheel drive, transmission and transfer case all work as they should. The manual hubs work as they should. The transmission will pop out of 2nd gear if you let off the throttle with the rpm's up. Normal driving going thru the gears is no problem at all and thats the only gear it will do that in. The Jeep has power steering and power disc brakes. The steering is pretty tight and actually drives decent, does not wander all over the road. The tires are balance good, so there's no vibration or shaking going on. The front seats are great. The back seat has a small 2" place that the threads are broke loose on the bottom near where the seat folds up. Most people don't notice it unless you point it out. Carpet is new factory fit Jeep OEM carpet. Lights work, dash lights work and all the gauges work, except the gas gauge and I cannot figure out why. It has a new gas tank, new sending unit, gas belly pan and gas lines replaced. I changed the instrument cluster to get the speedometer working and the fuel gauge still will not work. Since I changed the speedometer cluster the mileage is really unknown. The title had 151,624 miles showing and the good one I put in it shows 84,266 so I don't know exact mileage. I do know it runs excellent. It has 31X10.50x15 B.F. Goodrich all terrain tires with 95% tread on them on 15x10 steel wheels with new centers and lug nuts. I put a new battery, plugs, gas tank, sending unit, belly pan, bikini top, carpet, dash knob kit, headers, side exhaust, paint job, decals, anodized black hood kit, windshield to cowl weatherstripping, wiper blades, antenna and probably more stuff I have forgotten about. It has power disc brakes and stops good. I checked them and they have over 1/2 the pads left, so I did not replace them. This Jeep is a head turner. I've drove it around here locally to put gas in it and check it out good and it gets a lot of attention and thumbs up everytime. The only drawback in my opinion is a extra-heavy duty reece hitch that the previous owner had installed on the Jeep. It is bolted and welded to the rear bumper with braces going up to the frame that have been welded also. The welds have been ground down, finished and painted and it looks good, but I don't know what you would ever pull with a Jeep that you would need that much of a hitch. Please look at the pics close. It also comes with a Superwinch that the previous owner had. I did not put it on the Jeep, but it is included also. I did hook it up to a battery and it works also. He had the front bumper made to accommodate a winch, but you could easily cut it off and grind the welds down to have the factory bumper. The tub is pretty solid. It has had a couple of patch panels welded in the floors. They look fine and it was nothing more than 3"x2" patches. The Jeep is nearing 40 years old, so a little rust repair is to be expected. Ask any questions and I will do my best to answer. The reserve is low on this Jeep compared to others on ebay. Its a lot of vehicle for the money. It needs a top if you plan to ride it in the winter. I do have a set of soft doors that I will include. They are not real good, but at least you will have the good frames is you wish to put a full soft top on the Jeep. The Jeep has the front seat belts installed, but no rear belts. It does not have a radio either. I have two shippers that will deliver. One will deliver within 125 miles of 24055 and the other will deliver anywhere in the U.S. I can give you the numbers or furnish the winning bidder the phone numbers and or shipping quotes.
