Vehicle Detail
Have owned this car since 1989, and have spent countless hours improving and enjoying this car. It is a original ss/rs convertible camaro and has power steering, power disc brakes. Tires have about 100 miles on them and, I installed a tremec 5 speed overdrive transmission about 3 years ago and it has a little over 1k miles on it. Unbelieveable transmission and well worth the money. Car runs and drives great and looks very nice, gets a lot of attention. Motor is a 1970 400 cubic inch 4 bolt main small block. It is a mild engine but has unreal torque and power. original 12 bolt rear with 355 gears and a true posi traction.Complete rewire of car 3 years ago from fuse block to engine to trunk with painless wiring kit.Everything works as it should with electric. The car is not perfect, it is a driveable car with a few issues, muffler has a rattle at idle but goes away with warm up, it is a flowmaster single muffler with true dual pipes. A new system is around $500 and a easy fix, figured whoever buys it could do what they want with exhaust. Motor has a small oil leak probably from rear seal, I do not drive the car a lot and the seal is about 13 years old. Car runs flawless and has no driveability issues at all, shifts smooth etc.. Has a high torque starter,4 core radiator, recent alignment,MSD ignition, and I have converted the front headlight doors to electric. The passenger side headlight door works sometimes, the fender had some damage years ago and I think it is a little out of adjustment. I usually open it manually when I turn lights on, nothing wrong with motor just adjustment, drivers side works perfect. Car is originally a lemans blue car with white top, I will not own a white top and there seem to be a lot of lemans blue camaros so I painted this one 1969 glacier blue and installed a black top. Had new quarters in 1988 before I owned car and they are very solid, fenders are 3 years old and doors I believe to be original? They are very solid but they are not perfect. Has a 12 disc cd changer in trunk that is run by the custom autosound radio that works very well. Any questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to get back to you quickly, I do not need to sell the car, just have little time to enjoy and have another project to keep me busy. Car also has frame ties that are bolt on and tacked in place, I had to cut the floor braces to get them to fit, I have the original parts that I cut out. Also have a 1969, 350 motor and heads that go with car along with other parts for car. Motor is not the original to the car but is a 350 out of a chevelle and I have the complete motor and heads and I think the intake. On Oct-28-15 at 00:14:05 PDT, seller added the following information: A few people have asked about motor so without digging too much into my folders I can tell you this, It is a 1970 400ci small block that came out of a kingswood estate station wagon. It was bored 30 over which makes it a 406 ci, it also has world product heads and roller rockers. It has a mild cam that sounds very nice.Motor makes unreal torque on pump gas. Compression ratio right at 9-1. The carb is a 750 dual feed Holley double pumper that was just rebiult last summer. On Oct-29-15 at 13:23:47 PDT, seller added the following information: If anybody has questions or just needs more info please message me and I will get back to you ASAP. The car can be made available to look at with a little notice. Any time over this coming weekend as long as I know you want to see the car.On Oct-30-15 at 15:22:19 PDT, seller added the following information: The hood and front lower valance are GM along with the quarters and doors. The only aftermarket parts are the front fenders and deck lid. The car does have a tilt wheel and it is a true SS/RS. Wanted to also let you know that the heater core is about 3 years old and the radiator is a big block 4 core that is 2 years old. Alternator is a 1 wire aftermarket and it has a high torque starter.
