1940 Ford Deluxe Hot Rod, Rat Rod, Suicide doors What we have for sale is an original 1940 Ford Deluxe with 48,000 original miles , runs, drives and stops perfectly. It has been in dry storage for 30 years and is an original Ohio car. The previous owner brought it to the paint shop in 1970 to be repainted. While in the paint shop the owner passed away. Willed to his daughter, she brought it to Western New York it was in dry storage until I found it. I removed, cleaned and relined the gas tank, installed new wheel cylinders , rebuilt the master cylinder and carburetor. Took it to a car show the next Sunday and won a trophy with it. The car has the original mohair interior with no cuts or tears. On two different occasions I traveled from western New York, to Cleveland, Ohio. Roughly a 500 mile round trip. It kept up with interstate traffic fine, ran cool and burned no oil. The car is a pleasure to drive. Please Note: Red wheels in some pictures do not go with the car. They were just put on for the Cleveland trip only. Also, pictures with green wheels and snow was the day we took it out of storage.
