Vehicle Detail
Offered for sale is a sweet 1965 Mustang convertible. This is a true early 1965 (February) Mustang that started it all. Our loss will be someone’s gain. This car, born in San Jose, CA, has a 289cid V-8 210hp. The car was delivered to So Cal, and has remained in California its entire life. Has the correct 2 bbl carburetor and C-4 Cruisematic automatic transmission. Desirable front bucket seats. Exterior is code K, Silver Smoke Grey. The paint was redone earlier this year with a high quality base coat/clear coat and looks amazing – not a nick or scratch. Lots of new rubber moldings. Black interior, black carpet, black convertible top. A real eye catcher. New windshield with shaded band. Extras for the model: Black Tonneau cover (i.e. boot),Original AM radio (it still works!)Power steering (no leaks)Power topDrum brakes – all four corners Recent service work: Recent major tune-upRecent front end alignmentAdjusted and bleed brakesChanged oil & filterNew speedo cable – all dash lights workReplaced both hydraulic power steering lines/hosesAdjusted choke and timing Everything works as it should. The interior and trunk are clean and damage free. NO RUST OR RUST REPAIRS – EVER! The body and underside are in excellent condition with brilliant chrome. Driven no less than weekly….dependable and functional enough to be a daily drive if necessary. Brand new radiator (second one as first was defective) – never overheats (temp gauge at ½ mark or less). All fluids have been recently changed, new tires. This is a great turnkey car for someone! If it’s so good, then why sell it? I thought you would never ask! We finally found a 65 Mustang GT 350 convertible that I’m hoping it is as great mechanically as this one, and as good of a driver. It sure looks as good, however!
