1974 Honda CB750 Up for auction this 1974 Honda CB750, no minimum bid, no reserve, just like an auction should be. I've owned this motorcycle since October 1, 2007. It has served me very well. It has gone back and forth between Cincinnati and Virginia several times, and hasn't given me any grief. I'm the third owner, I think. 34k miles. Pros: Runs well. Looks reasonable. Currently registered, and a regular driver. Windscreen is two years old and in excellent repairSissy bar.Crash barTires are good, Rear is near end of legal life. Original old style carburetors, pristine internally. Bike never runs lean.Fuel tank hot-dipped, repaired, sealed. No leaks.Very quiet. Oversize exhaust with extra damping. You'll be able to hear the engine running correctly.All fasteners are torqued to specifications. No obnoxious overtightened bolts. Cons: Odometer is incorrect. Reads 28k, has been driven 34k.No horn.No cable for speedometer. No cable for tachometer.One float will intermittently stick open, necessitating shutting fuel petcock when parked.Oil seals have slow leak.Fuel has penetrated the epoxy sealant, and has swollen the body filler under the paint in one location. Doesn't leak.Forks need fluid. Seals are probably worn.Exhaust is unusual, and many consider it unsightly.Wiring is from 1978 CB550. Wiring is fully compatible, but different from the original 1974 wiring, which has a different instrument cluster.Charging circuit is weak. I run it without headlights to help the battery.
