Vehicle Detail

This is the last of the finned "heckflosse" Mercedes-Benz. If you're looking it up, so few were made in 1968 it's better to search under 1967. It is very nice to drive; in maneuvers easily in tight spaces, and has an extremely smooth ride. We purchased this car from a dealer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on eBay. Since then We've spent over $2700 in repairs and up grades: Two new Weber carbs, four new Tires, points, condenser, plugs, plug wires, fuel lines, fuel filter, brake lines, oil filter, battery, transmission oil, and more. Our mechanic's handwriting is like a physician's, so what's listed are only the parts I can read. The odometer, and speedometer are in kilometers. Actual mileage is likely to be different from odometer reading. The hub caps have rust, the driver's door sometimes only opens from the inside, the fuel gage works intermittently. Has some floorboard rust.Dimensions: weight 3347 lbs, Length 210.2", Width 70.1", Height 58.7", Wheelbase 133.9".We have $11,700 invested in the vehicle. I learned to drive, in the sixties, in a car nearly identical to this. It is a very safe vehicle. My dad was in an accident in his 1965 230S heckflosse, and the police said he would have been killed if it were any other car. He walked away without a scratch.
