I just bought this 66 convertible from an estate it is a c-code auto p.s p.b powertop car.I was told by the previous owners family that owner took car to a restoration shop to have a rotisserie restoration done yrs ago.dropped car off with big deposit,had all new body panels replaced including full floor pan,torque boxes and new inner rockers. front frame rails and aprons original and in excellent condition, rear frame rails original and in excellent cond.body was welded, painted and assembled, drive train installed then shop wanted more money which they received then let car sit with no progress for over a year. owner got mad pulled car took to another shop and had them just put the car back together with some new parts and some original.i will give a description of what I can see was done. all body panels are new including a one peace floor pan,underside of car is painted and detailed nice with new fuel tank, lines, all new brake lines shocks and duel exhaust. front suspension looks to be the original parts put back on old bushings .motor is a 289 030 over looks to have been rebuilt, put scope in cyl. could see hone marks and 030 on pistons.gaskets new, fuel pump new. carb looks to be rebuilt. has c-4 trans shifts good. has duel exhaust but not loud.all interior looks to be new, has new top, new hydrolic hoses for top. has new bumpers,emblems, weatherstrip, mirrors, door handles , rocker chromes.has brand new tires. things it will need frontend alignment brakes need to be adjusted pulls hard right when brakes applied.things ive found that do not work horn, radio,lighter.
