Purchased from original owner, this bike has been in AZ it's whole life. Sparingly ridden in desert since new, this bike was protected early on with an aluminum skid plate, alum. pipe guard, Acerbis plastic fork guards & Acerbis hand/bar guards. Very minimal wear on either side of frame. Motor is stock, original, and has never been apart. This bike is still sporting all it's original OEM Honda plastic, seat & cover, wheels, Showa suspension, etc. Has aluminum bars now along with a Pro Circuit pipe, otherwise this is a really excellent and original example of the last of the true vintage Honda motocrosser's. Following year 1989 bikes would see inverted forks making these 88's the last of the conventional fork MX'ers from Honda, and the last CR's eligible for vintage MX racing. Comes with all original Honda manuals, fork boots, etc. Showa suspension feels excellent. Even also comes with another very clean Clarke desert tank (fits 250 & 500) including another set of OEM Honda shrouds attached. In addition to all that, this bike has a very cool vintage steering damper on left side that is bolted on for easy removal if so desired (SEE PHOTO). Original triangle stand included. All of the aftermarket protective pieces have been on bike since it was nearly new, so frame rails, front disc brake, forks, pipe, etc. are all in EXCELLENT condition. See paint wear on side frame rails for indication of miles put on this bike from new. Once again, motor is untouched and never opened. Includes some extra jets for Keihin carb.Bike does have run time on it so tires, suspension, motor, etc. are NOT NEW. This is a USED RACE BIKE so please understand this fact and buy accordingly. ONLY ISSUES I can find are: Minor wear for the year. Excellent compression and spark. Starts easily and runs strong.
