Today i am selling my 1982 Mercedes 300CD turbo diesel coupe . 1982 was the first year Mercedes introduced the turbo charger into the gorgeous W123 series coupe . These cars already had a reputation for being very reliable and economical , now they also had plenty of power for more fun in town and on the freeway . My stunning 300CD was finished in " Deep blue"  ( MB color code 900 ) with beige color MB-Tex interior . The paint still looks amazing . There are no dings dents or major scratches visible and it still shines like a much newer car . The interior looks equally nice , as the many pictures will show . There are no rips or tears in the seats , the original dash is still in wonderful condition and even the wood accents are in excellent condition . I just recently had the carpets replaced with the original color german "Tuft" carpet . The new carpet just looks better than the original , light beige, 33 year old carpet could ever be . In short , this is a very clean car in a stunning color combination and i am getting compliments on it every time i drive it . Also mechanically this car has always been looked after and it shows . Just last week i had the whole AC system gone through . It has been converted to R134 style freon , the compressor is new and it blows ice cold . We also had a major service done , all the fluids and filters changed , a new hood insulation pad installed and new window switches installed . This 300CD has great power and it shifts smooth through all the gears . A couple of months ago i took it on a 1000 mile long distance trip and it performed perfectly . I would not hesitate to drive it from here to the east coast on short notice . This would be a great car for a collector . Mercedes only sold 8007 of the W123 series diesel coupe and there are not too many left in this condition . If you keep taking care of this car like it has been , it should only go up in value . This wonderful coupe would also be a great candidate for somebody who like driving a classic car , but needs it to be very reliable for every day driving . This engine is known to be one of the most reliable Mercedes has ever produced . You often see them here on Ebay with 500k miles and still running well . I would prefer to sell this car to somebody locally , who could actually come out , see it and appreciate it . But i would also be willing to help with an airport pick up or shipping arrangements for out of town buyers . All shipping charges would have to be paid by the winning bidder of course . This is an amazing 33 year old classic Mercedes and as such will be sold " as is" and without a warranty . Please have your funding in order and do all your " due diligence " BEFORE placing a bid .
