Up for sale is a 1954 Chevy Corvette custom for sale, one of the 3640 corvettes that GM produced for the 1954 year. Unfortunately I don't know too much history about it previous owner had it for over 40 years and when he acquired it, it already had the custom nose. He repainted it in 1975. Im not a corvette enthusiast, but this car caught my eye because you don't see too many early ones around and thought it would be cool to drive something a little different being that only 3640 of this year corvette were made. The car runs,drives,stops,steers good. someone updated the engine with the newer 250? 6cylinder, but still has the powerglide transmission. From what I understand these chassis usually rot out and from being garaged for many years this frame is in excellent condition! As far as the body goes as I mentioned the car was painted in the 70s and didnt do a great job probably even for its time, but the paint is what you would expect for being so old and the car should be stripped down and blocked if you were to redo it and like most cases the car does look better in pictures. Im not sure how old the interior is, but it seems in pretty good shape, but it could use a carpet if you wanted to. The top is also pretty good shape (just needs a couple smalls repairs where some glue or a staple didnt hold) If I were to keep the car I would like to change it up but keep it kustom,however, this car is a great canitdate for a full restoration being the chassis being in good shape and a reproduced nose section is relatively cheap and readily available.
