IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 10 POSITIVE EBAY FEED BACK RATINGS DO NOT BID. I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH YOU. I AM RELISTING THIS BECAUSE SOMEONE WITH NO BID HISTORY WON THE ACUTION AND THEN DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH OR CONTACT ME AT ALL Up for Auction is a 1957 Chevy 2 Door Hard top Project Car. VIN Number B57N113089From what I can tell the original color was turquoise but someone did a color change to red at one point. Based on my research of the vin number this car was originally a 6 cylinder car. This vehicle needs a good amount of work to get it on the road but the hardest parts are done.I feel this car would make a better rat rod than restored vehicle but the final outcome will be up to the winning bidder. This is a great start for an iconic American classic that has demand increasing by the day. These 2 door hard tops are becoming harder to find in an unrestored condition. They are very few and far between. I have placed a low reserve on this vehicle to make it move fast. There is a 69 Caddy I am looking to purchase but need this one sold first. It was my intention to make a rat rod out of it but have lost interest in the project. It has a 350 V8 which I was told came from a "79 El Camino and was redone". Don't know how long ago it was redone or how many miles are on it. Prior owner also stated it has a 350 turbo automatic transmission. The motor has the HEI distributor. The motor ran great when I purchased it back in February. I have done nothing to the motor except remove the old exhaust manifolds. (the spark plug wires may be out of order since I had to get them out of the way while removing the old exhaust.) Everything does need to be connected again in order for it to run. I just bolted things back on the car so it can be listed for sale. The new owner will need to take the time to align the doors and front end sheet metal. All of the "fitting". I was just putting it on the car so it can be easily moved after the sale and so that anyone looking to purchase the car can see what it has. Here is what was done to the body New one piece floor which included all braces and inner rocker panels. Both full rocker panels have been replace. Most of the trunk floor has been replaced or patched. Both rear wheel wells have been patched. Both front lower quarter panels have been replaced. New tail pan. New tail pan brace Both toe boards have been replaced. Replaced the passenger side rear wheel well flap. The car has new body mounts and bolts installed. Various other patches on the car where needed. The previous owner had thepanel that goes under the rear window from the backseat to the trunk lid replaced which included new trunk hinges. Hood hinges appear new as well. Car comes with extra set of hood hinges. I've done nothing with the front sheet metal, decklid and doors. The hood seems to be in really nice condition. If you plan to restore the car the bottoms of the doors will need some work but they are perfect for rat rod. Completely new rear suspension is installed. New 2 inch lowering leaf springs Both front eye bolts and bushings for the leaf springs are new New rear shackles New rear shocks All bushings are new in the rear suspension as well. I did not do anything to the front suspension. New rear wheel cylinders. The car comes with the following NEW parts to be installed. Under the hood wire harness Under the Dash wire harness. (The wire harness that was in the car looked like a fire waiting to happen so I promptly pulled it and tossed it) Turbo linkage Both Universal joints. Trunk lid springs All the glass is there except for the driver door. The rear quarter glass is not installed but comes with the car. The car has manual steering. The car has power brakes. The front has disk brakes. (these were on the car when purchased) The car needs all brake lines (hard and soft), a fuel line and exhaust. The car is missing most of the interior. What you see in the pictures is what you get. It has the front and back seats. Dash is missing stuff. Not sure exactly what. It does come with a bunch of parts, many appear to be dash related. Dash is currently in bare metal. ( I was going to leave it this way since my intent was to build a rat rod. I think the patina look of it is really cool.) I have lots of pictures so let me know if you want me to send you a picture of something that is not shown in the listing. Car comes with some used parts that I have located since they were missing when purchased. Steering column for automatic shift (with mounting hardware) and a pair of ram horn exhaust manifolds. The car is missing any number of other things but it is a good base at an affordable price. Everything for these cars are available. If you have any questions or require further pictures of something please contact me prior to bidding. I want the winning bidder to be 100% confident in what they are purchasing. Basically, if you are not sure, please do not bid. Please make no assumptions about the car. Ask me questions and I will give you an answer if I can or at least let you know if I do not know. If you need more details about something, ask!!! Below is some boiler plate stuff I pulled from other car adds on Ebay that sounded reasonable to include. Buyer to pay any and all shipping costs.
