Vehicle Detail
Relisted due to an error in the original listing - nothing significant - the hood is not original to the car - we wanted to be upfront about that so we've corrected the description and relisted the Barracuda 1970 Plymouth Barracuda This one-family owner, rust free, California/Texas Barracuda, comes with its numbers matching 383 and heavy duty 727 transmission. The body panels on this Barracuda are straight and true and all original with the exception of the hood which comes from another Cuda. This car has never been in an accident. Showing 101,350 miles, it’s averaged just 2,250 miles per year. This is a car you can jump in and drive anywhere. We have tens of thousands of dollars in receipts showing everything that’s been done to this Barracuda over the years. The engine has been rebuilt and so has the transmission. There is plenty of power and the transmission shifts great. It does have a shift kit in it for when go takes precedence over show. The tires are newer and have next to no miles on them. The interior is like new showing no signs of wear. The interior has been redone in custom leather and is near flawless, the carpets have been replaced. The owners, dad, son, brother, took great care of this Barracuda. It comes with its original owner’s manual, jack and inflatable spare. If you’ve read this far you know what you’re looking at. This Barracuda has had a few tasteful, yet easily reversible modifications made to it to enhance the driving experience. The battery has been relocated to the rear for better weight distribution. A double oil filter set up has been installed. A shift kit has been added to the transmission. The original vinyl roof has been removed. The hood scoops have been made functional. The engine has been dressed up a little bit with a reasonable amount of chrome. The heater has been disconnected as it never got used here in Southern California. Being sparing driven over its lifetime and never in inclement weather it is a rust free car. All of the panels and structure are original. The dash is perfect. Everything functions as expected. Even the clock works and keeps great time. All of the exterior chrome pieces are original and shine great with no pitting. This Barracuda is for sale locally and we reserve the right to end the auction early. The reserve is more than reasonably set for a Barracuda of this quality.
