They were made at the height of excess with an open floor plan interior large enough for a truly comfortable road trip for you and 5 of your largest friends to cruise in style.This Galaxie still turns heads thanks to clean classic body lines & nicely placed red accented factory body trim. While not a show car, it presents well and does draw a surprising amount of attention. There doesn’t appear to be a lot of miles since the repaint years ago, but there are imperfections. The car is structurally good with only minor bubbles in the normal spots.Inside the interior was nicely re-trimmed with new seat upholstery & carpet. The door panels appear to be the originals and look good. There are a couple cracks in the pad but overall this is a clean & tidy interior.1970 was one of the last years for the ‘high compression’ engines. In 1972 compression ratios were dropping fast to keep with emission laws. With that compression drop so did the performance. This 351 has the excellent torque that the early 351’s were famous for. While not a drag car by any means this Galaxie moves around easily. A spirited stop light take off can still produce some tire spin and guilty grins. But this is a cruiser.The Factory Air Conditioning is still complete and the components appear to be in good condition. The system will need to be serviced but the hard to find parts are all there.So, if you are looking for a cool classic cruiser that doesn’t break the bank take a good look at this one.
