Decided to sell my 1968 Shortbed that I have owned for 25+ years. Below I will describe the good and some minor mechanical issues. Original Oklahoma titled vehicle, I have owed for 26 years in Southeast Michigan. Never driven in rain or snow, major frame off restoration 18 years ago, and has been ongoing with improvements since. All original sheet metal, never any rust. Powered by a high performance 396 Big Block, less than 5,000 miles on rebuild. Runs very strong, Large hydraulic lift Luinita cam, Harlen sharpe roller rocckers Edelbrock Dual 4 barrel carburetor,Edelbrock air gap intake Endurashine street setup, lots of chrome, polished aluminum and stainless, hand painted flame pinstripes and attention to detail, has won many Best Engine Awards. Turbo 400 trans, a new Eaton 373 Posi unit gets the power to the pavement! New tires, less than 50 miles 255/70/15 Rear and 205/70/15 Front on Billet wheels. Lowered 2 inches. Beautiful PPG Base, Clear Viper Passion Red, with old school hand painted pinstripes. Paint is rated a 9.0 out of 10.0, minor imperfections for age. Bed Floor features a Bruce Horkey show deck in golden oak and polished stainless with mirrored bulkhead. Interior keeps a stock look, with aluminum accents, tilt wheel, tach dash. Other options are a Good Mark Steel Cowl Induction Hood, Custom hand lettered tailgate, rolled fiberglass rear pan, Optima battery, all new chrome on front bumper, emblems, handles, hood springs, aluminum rear end cover, headers with shorty glass packs for making noise, or does come with dual pipes that go to rear axle. Has a few mechanical issues never got around to repairing. Has power steering but leaks, is disconnected. Speedometer, gas gauge not working, leaks a little trans fluid, heater delete, has original style drum brakes, work fine, just old school. This truck, through the years has won over 40 1st place show awards in local, state and national shows, including NMCA Nationals Best Engine Award & Super Chevy Show, Best Truck Award!
