Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Up for auction is a very nice 1979 BMW R65 Motorcycle. Description: I just picked up this bike from a local guy who stored it for the last 8 years. I cleaned the carbs, ran it up and down the road and everything seems to be in good order. Shifts well and runs out fine in all gears. The windshield is included, the paint looks to be in great shape for it's age. The tires still have life left in them. It has an aftermarket exhaust on it, I also put a newer battery in it. The seat is in good shape for it's age also. Clear title in my name ready to sign over to you once full payment is made. Nothing weird, no liens, salvage, crashed designations or anything like that. The carbs could use a bit more adjustment to get the idle just right. The rear shocks feel like they could stand to be replaced as they are a little bouncy. The brake light is on all the time... not sure why. The brake light lense is cracked and the gauge surround has a couple cracks in it. Other Details: I encourage all interested parties to come and look at the bike prior to bidding, I'll need $2000 cash in my hand before anyone rides it. I require a $500 down payment within 24 hours to my paypal account. Full payment must be made within 7 days of auction end by either cashiers check or cash. If you are having the bike shipped I'll expect that you make those arrangements. Once you arrange a shipping company you can have them contact me and I'll make the bike and title available for them to pick up (only after full payment is made of course). If you can't pick up the bike within 7 days of auction end I'll expect that you discuss this with me prior to bidding. Disclaimer: I've described this bike to the best of my ability, if I've missed or forgot something I won't be held responsible for this. Also remember, this bike is not something that just rolled off the showroom as there may be scratches, scuffs and normal wear for a bike of this age. There is no warantee or expressed written or implied. I will not accept a return. On Sep-25-15 at 15:58:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Update.... I figured out why the rear brake light was on all the time... the front brake pressure switch is faulty so I unplugged it. The rear brake lever does actuate the brake light currently however the front brake will need a new pressure switch.
