Take a trip back to yesteryear and remember what it was like taking a road trip in the days before airbags. The foldaway 'way-back' seats in the rear conjure up memories of childhood adventures in mom's country cruiser. The powerful 390 CU V8 give this long hauler plenty of power for the journey. These big blocks were the staple of many of Ford's flagship cars, so parts are easy to replace and plentiful. With the previous owner reporting the mileage at just over 40k though, it should be a long time before you need anything major. The Automatic transmission shifts nicely and this wagon cruises down the road almost like new. Despite it's size, the power steering makes it a breeze to drive and handle. Take a look around the car and you'll start to believe the mileage claim. While we didn't receive any solid documentation with this one, the features tell the story. The brake and gas pedals show little wear. The black and woodgrain interior is as near mint as you can find with no visible rips or tears in any of the seats, and most of the seat belts still wear their as-delivered plastic dealer protection wrapping. This car came with a host of factory options including factory air conditioning. The A/C Has not been tested, but it appears to be complete.The dash pad is unbelievable for it's age. The lenses are clear and free of fog or major scratches. The dash trim is fresh and bright, and the chrome and woodgrain decals look nearly new. There are a few scratches along the rear interior panels showing some daily grocery hauling, but overall very little use for a 45+ year old interior. Our team has checked out the necessities and we're happy to report that The AM/FM Radio works, the wipers wipe, the headlights work and the associated hideaway panels rise and lower with ease, the electric rear window rises and lowers and the blinkers work both left and right. Overall this is a solid wagon that has seen what appears to be very little use. We purchased this as part of a larger collection that had been in storage for an unknown ammt. of time. There are a couple of bubbles near the gas - tank door and on the lower corners of the passenger front door, but the underside looks solid and if you choose to fix these, it should be an easy restoration.
