This special car has been meticulously cared for by adult enthusiast owners, and maintained and worked on by only the best Audi technicians. It has a perfect CarFax with no accidents and 4 owners. It's never been smoked in, or abused, or raced and is bone stock except for the 6 Speed ;-). I have owned if for 8 years and during that time it has never spent a night outside a garage and never left in the sun without covering the windshield. It has never missed an oil change and all maintenance is up to date. The car is CLEAN - inside and out. I have all the books and records and keys from new, and a stack of service records and a clean title in hand. The wheels are 18" BBS CH with not a speck of curb rash and near new Continental DWS Performance tires. Now the good part. The D2 S8 is one of the classiest sport sedans ever made - except that in North America they were only delivered with a performance robbing automatic transmission that was not up to the long term task of handling the torque of the superb V8 motor. Most owners experience transmission failure at or about 100K miles. Mine lasted a little longer, but instead of rebuilding it stock, I elected to perform the conversion to a six speed manual transmission. What a godsend to this car - it is SO MUCH BETTER than the slush box. The procedure was professionally done by a well known and very talented Audi technician using genuine Audi parts. Even a discerning eye will have a hard time telling its not original to the car. The conversion is PRO, and it drives and sounds and feels like a super car. The engine has been cared for with all pumps, seals, gaskets and belts replaced as needed and has no leaks or problems I am aware of. It pulls very strong, and the suspension is tight and noise free. The interior is also in excellent condition with only minor wear in a few spots. There are no tears or stains or rips in the leather or the alcantara. The headliner is tight and smooth. Wheels and tires are near new. I also have a near new set of snow tires mounted on the original 18" Avus wheels that I will sell to the winning bidder for $1000 if you need them OR you can swap the stock wheels for the BBS for no extra charge. There are no cracks or problems with the glass, although the windshield does have some normal pitting. The A/C is cold, and the heat is hot, and all four heated seats work well. Stereo sounds awesome, all the lights on the dash work and are bright and clear with no dead pixels. All windows and sunroof operate. Even the power rear sunshade is in perfect working condition. If you are serious about this S8, please don't be put off by what some would consider high mileage for lesser vehicles. It looks and drives solid and tight, and with proper maintenance these cars were built to last 250K miles or more. The only Achilles heel for this superb build was the automatic transmission, which is no longer. The six speed makes this the perfect S8, mated to one of the best Audi motors ever, all riding on the awesome aluminum space frame. This is one of best looking Audi sedans ever, and is the best color combination in many enthusiast's opinion. I get smiles and compliments all the time on this rare beast.
