Vehicle Detail
1973 Triumph TR5T Trophy Trail- This bike has been sleeping in a friends collection for many years. Health issues have made him decide to start paring down the collection and this neat relic is the first one we are putting on the market. It has been in dry storage and hasnt been ridden much as you can see from the low mileage and original tires. I installed a new battery and cleaned the carb. It starts easily and the clutch and gearbox work perfectly. This model was only made for two years and the total production was around 3,500 making these semi-rare. These bikes are a blast to ride and have probably the best 500cc engine Triumph ever made. The bike isnt perfect as there is some rust(mostly on the front rim and front fender) and it is missing the turn signals and left side cover. A little TLC and detailing and it would look nearly showroom, it would be a very easy restoration or just enjoy it as it is. It is being sold with a very low reserve. A great addition to any collection. It has a valid title. It is sold as in no warranties or guarantees. The bike needs to be picked up in Culpeper, Virginia or I will assist your shipper with loading. PayPal payment only. Please ask if you have any questions before bidding. On Sep-11-15 at 16:45:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Paint on tank is degraded over time ,speedo has some rust on face, front rim has rust ,seat has small tear. As I stated ,the bike is not perfect . It is a nice unmolested example which would make a great rider or a great restoration project. Please examine the pictures closely and ask questions if you have any. I do not want to misrepresent this bike or give the impression it is perfectly preserved. Thanks
