My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is my 2001 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG. I've owned this S55 for the last year and a half and have used it as my personal car. I've put thousands and thousands of miles on this S55 with absolutely no issues. She's been a perfectly reliable car and has never, ever let me down. I would rate the exterior of my S55 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a great looking sedan. Please understand that this is a 15 year old car that has been driving so there are signs of age and mileage. She is finished in classic silver over black and looks good. As with most older W220's, there are a few spots of corrosion visible under the paint around the fender edges...but nothing on the doors, roof or trunk. The silver finish shines nicely and looks as smooth as glass. The body lines are nice and straight. The only damage present on the car is a dent in the trunklid on the left side. This was present when I purchased the car. There is a circular crack (about the diameter of a quarter) in the windshield and a small crack at the top left corner of the rear window, neither of which are inspection issues in PA. All of the moldings and trim are present and fully intact. This is a great looking Merc...if this were any other car, I wouldn't be nearly as hard on it as I am being. The original 18" AMG staggered alloy wheels add a very aggressive look to this sedan. The finish on the rear wheels isn't the greatest. The tires are a matching set of proper Michelin's with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the exterior of this S55 AMG to also be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. On the inside, this is a fairly well optioned car. The door cards are clean and tight. The wood interior veneers show well for the mileage. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. There is one worn spot in the carpet up front on the drivers side. All four seats are power operated and heated. The front seats are air conditioned and have the optional massage feature. As with any older vehicle, there are a few things that don't work inside the car. As you can see, the plastic front portion of the drivers seat is broken...this is common. Also, the rear windows will need new regulators. Lastly, the vacuum pump has stopped working while I had it stored inside over the winter. Consequently, anything that requires vacuum provided by that little two way air pump is not working. The rear shade raises and lowers easily. The audio system is original and sounds great. There are steering wheel controls for the audio system and onboard computer. The climate control system is fully automatic and works great. The heater works properly and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR. Mechanically, this S55 AMG is all there. The big V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I haven't seen any leaks and the engine doesn't smoke. Her road manners are great for an older car. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The Active Body Control works flawlessly. The steering and brakes feel good. You can feel a slight bit of play in the front end if you stand hard on the brakes from high speeds, but nothing terrible. The engine keeps perfect temperature and makes great power. This car is impressively fast for its size. There is more than ample power on tap at all times with one of the best automatic transmissions ever made putting power to the ground. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly at all times with absolutely no issues. The check engine light has been on ever since I bought the car. The code is for "catalyst efficiency below threshold". These codes have been there for the last year and a half. I know the cat can't be clogged because the car is ridiculously fast and has no trouble breathing at all. I spend most of my time on the highway running and was looking for a big, fast, comfortable car. This car has served its purpose flawlessly and has done everything I've asked it to do. It has been perfectly reliable, comfortable, looks great and actually gets mid 20's on the highway. Oh, did I mention it's fast? In fact, the ONLY reason I'm selling this car is that I have another S55 AMG and having two is just greedy. I've been thinning out the stable a bit this year because I looked around and realized that I've accumulated quite a bit of cars that I was hoarding...and I don't want to end up on that TV show. I've had this one longer so this is going to be the one to find a new home. You won't see my other one come up for sale until I get my hands on an S65, haha. You can fly in and drive this car absolutely anywhere with no worries. I've put thousands and thousands of trouble-free miles on this car with tons of smiles. S55's are out there but most people want a fortune for them. Mine is far from perfect, but I'm giving a chance for someome to get a real deal on a great car by offering her at NO RESERVE. I've had the privilege of driving this amazing automobile for the last year and a half. She'll be sold to the highest bidder. I've had my fun and it's time for someone else to enjoy her. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is my 2001 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG. I've owned this S55 for the last year and a half and have used it as my personal car. I've put thousands and thousands of miles on this S55 with absolutely no issues. She's been a perfectly reliable car and has never, ever let me down. I would rate the exterior of my S55 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a great looking sedan. Please understand that this is a 15 year old car that has been driving so there are signs of age and mileage. She is finished in classic silver over black and looks good. As with most older W220's, there are a few spots of corrosion visible under the paint around the fender edges...but nothing on the doors, roof or trunk. The silver finish shines nicely and looks as smooth as glass. The body lines are nice and straight. The only damage present on the car is a dent in the trunklid on the left side. This was present when I purchased the car. There is a circular crack (about the diameter of a quarter) in the windshield and a small crack at the top left corner of the rear window, neither of which are inspection issues in PA. All of the moldings and trim are present and fully intact. This is a great looking Merc...if this were any other car, I wouldn't be nearly as hard on it as I am being. The original 18" AMG staggered alloy wheels add a very aggressive look to this sedan. The finish on the rear wheels isn't the greatest. The tires are a matching set of proper Michelin's with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.
I would rate the exterior of this S55 AMG to also be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. On the inside, this is a fairly well optioned car. The door cards are clean and tight. The wood interior veneers show well for the mileage. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. There is one worn spot in the carpet up front on the drivers side. All four seats are power operated and heated. The front seats are air conditioned and have the optional massage feature. As with any older vehicle, there are a few things that don't work inside the car. As you can see, the plastic front portion of the drivers seat is broken...this is common. Also, the rear windows will need new regulators. Lastly, the vacuum pump has stopped working while I had it stored inside over the winter. Consequently, anything that requires vacuum provided by that little two way air pump is not working. The rear shade raises and lowers easily. The audio system is original and sounds great. There are steering wheel controls for the audio system and onboard computer. The climate control system is fully automatic and works great. The heater works properly and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR.
Mechanically, this S55 AMG is all there. The big V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I haven't seen any leaks and the engine doesn't smoke. Her road manners are great for an older car. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The Active Body Control works flawlessly. The steering and brakes feel good. You can feel a slight bit of play in the front end if you stand hard on the brakes from high speeds, but nothing terrible. The engine keeps perfect temperature and makes great power. This car is impressively fast for its size. There is more than ample power on tap at all times with one of the best automatic transmissions ever made putting power to the ground. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly at all times with absolutely no issues. The check engine light has been on ever since I bought the car. The code is for "catalyst efficiency below threshold". These codes have been there for the last year and a half. I know the cat can't be clogged because the car is ridiculously fast and has no trouble breathing at all. I spend most of my time on the highway running and was looking for a big, fast, comfortable car. This car has served its purpose flawlessly and has done everything I've asked it to do. It has been perfectly reliable, comfortable, looks great and actually gets mid 20's on the highway. Oh, did I mention it's fast? In fact, the ONLY reason I'm selling this car is that I have another S55 AMG and having two is just greedy. I've been thinning out the stable a bit this year because I looked around and realized that I've accumulated quite a bit of cars that I was hoarding...and I don't want to end up on that TV show. I've had this one longer so this is going to be the one to find a new home. You won't see my other one come up for sale until I get my hands on an S65, haha. You can fly in and drive this car absolutely anywhere with no worries. I've put thousands and thousands of trouble-free miles on this car with tons of smiles. S55's are out there but most people want a fortune for them. Mine is far from perfect, but I'm giving a chance for someome to get a real deal on a great car by offering her at NO RESERVE. I've had the privilege of driving this amazing automobile for the last year and a half. She'll be sold to the highest bidder. I've had my fun and it's time for someone else to enjoy her. Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are a PennDOT issuing agent and able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyers PennDOT offers a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $45 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance. We can issue them at our office.
