Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a beautifully restored 1970 Mach 1. Whether you are looking for a garage queen and show car, you are a collector, want a weekend cruiser or all of the above, this is a highly desirable choice and a great investment. This is one head-turning car! The entire automobile was rebuilt in the mid-90's and has been garaged and shown in car shows since that time. It looks like it was completed just last year. The lacquer paint is stunning and the engine is strong with no smoke. It has very little milage since the total rebuild. The wheels are quite rare and apparently only offered on 1970 model year Mach 1's. It has a 4 speed manual with a hurst shifter. The car was equipped from the factory and currently has the correct 4 barrel carburetor. The block and heads are correct 4v. All of the ball joints and suspension components were rebuilt or replaced at the time of rebuild. Even factory "marks" and decals that they placed on the different components at the factory have been restored. This Mach 1 was red as it rolled off the assembly line and the red paint job is detailed and quite beautiful. The car has front disc brakes. The engine is not numbers matching but is period correct with what appears to be a 1972 date code (located behind the starter on the block). The paint, emblems, bumpers, chrome accents, shaker hood, paint decals are in show condition. The interior is clean with no rips in seats, carpet or headliner. The under carriage is super clean. A car cover is included in the purchase of the car. This is a great investment vehicle and the pictures show this. The only known items that need attention are the AC doesn't work, the speedometer is intermittent/jumpy, the driver windshield wiper seems loose and the tires are showing some age. Because it has the original carb, distributor and coil which have been left for show purposes, it would run smoother and more powerful if those were updated to modern units. All of the items listed here are simple fixes and the overall car is solid. This is not a fixer upper! This car is represented accurately and honestly. The provided pictures should leave little interpretation to the overall quality of this fine automobile. If you have ANY questions, please let me know. If you want additional pictures or a video of the car starting and running, that can be provided. If you want to view the car in person or schedule an inspection, it can be accommodated. The car is stunning in person and every time it has been driven, people gawk, honk, give thumbs up and strike up conversations so they can look at the car. A video of the car starting and running can be found at:Mach 1 Video Happy Bidding and good luck on winning this beautiful and rare true Mach 1 Mustang muscle car!
