Vehicle Detail
1986 BMW K75 Café 750 cc This is a really sweet, reliable, fast ride. A hot knife blade thru butter. Holds tight in corners and offers a balanced, stable ride, even at high speeds.Power curve is even and smooth. You don’t see a BMW K75 café too often. Totally cool, vintage look. Water cooled, 750 cc, bullet proof engine. These engines can go 300,000 miles! Electric starter starts instantly. Shaft drive, single rear shock, swing arm, etc—way ahead of its time. Bike is in great cosmetic shape too. No tank dents or damage anywhere on bike. (anything that looks weird is just camera glare) Everything works perfectly, except the speedo, so that’s the only thing I’ve wanted to replace, and I just didn't get around to it. You can buy a mini speedo/tach combo, for about $150. I don’t know how many miles are on this, but the engine runs strong, no issues, no leaks. I’ve owned it 2 years and had the San Diego BMW dealer fix even the tiniest issues. Stock pipes. Shifts great. What’s nice about the K75 series is that there are PLENTY of available, cheap parts on Ebay for this bike. It’s an easy bike to work on. It started out as a 1986 K75 and everything, except what you see in the pics, was taken off. I do not have the take-off parts. The tank was lead sealed and re-finished by Ken Norton in Vista, CA. A lot of the engine accessories were either replaced or rebuilt (battery, radiator, water pump, etc). No expense was spared. It’s a nice comfortable riding position. I’m 6 ft, 175 lbs. I have the clear title, no liens. It is a California salvage title, because the bike was custom built. You should have no issues registering it in CA, or any state, but check your local DMV before you bid, please. If you want to inspect and test drive it, bring your motorcycle license, helmet and a valid insurance card. The bike will be at my warehouse in North County, San Diego at Carmel Mtn off the 15 from 6a to 3p M-F. Email me for the address. If you're out of the area and want to ship it, you'll need to make all the arrangements. The bike will be safely stored inside my warehouse for pick-up M-F 6a to 3p. I can arrange evenings and weekends, if required. I'll help as much as I can to coordinate smooth shipping.Don't let this one get away-- it's a ton of fun! For $4K you can't go wrong. This is a 30 yr old bike, so SALE is FINAL and sold “as is”.Good luck to all bidders.Anthony
