Own an Icon, the MGB proved that a sports car can be both economical and fun. This 1973 MGB Chrome Bumper Roadster is an excellent project car! There is some body damage to the drivers side door ( a replacement door in good shape is included ) and left rear quarter panel. Some rust on the lower panels and floor boards. I understand this is not unusual for these cars. It will need lots of TLC to shine again.This car was owned by two consecutive ministers and a retiree before I bought it. It was in Ohio, for 17 years, and garaged when the weather was bad. In Florida since 2003 and always garaged. The prior owner installed a new battery and ignition switch but the last time I drove it was 2007 and then it started right up, clutch and shifter were smooth and the 1800 Twin SU carb motor sounded and moved pretty good. After sitting in storage so long it has to be brought gently back to life.It has the painted Wire Wheels, spokes seem to be tight, 4-Speed stick shift, no overdrive. Interior needs refurbishing but the trunk is very solid ! Comes with the crome baggage tray. A lot of parts new and used come with the MGB among them a good used performance header and new extra oil cooler.The odometer shows just under 27,000 miles and I was told by the previous owner that those are original miles. There is no way that I can verify that, as the car is too old to run a Carfax on it. Sold with clear title. OVERALL THIS IS A VERY SOLID AND COMPLETE CARRESERVE PRICE IS SET AT $2,000.00 (WHICH IS A VERY REASONABLE PRICE)This was going to be my project car with metalwork and all, but I never got to it, other cars and life got in the way !
