Thanks for taking a look at our 1965 Ford Mustang. Secured by her owner for eventual restoration, she stayed hidden for a very long time. He eventually realized her best hope for revival was in our hands. We are honored with the trust placed in our efforts. This great Mustang is a solid Black Plate California Car. Born with this very 289 engine and stored for some 45 years, Lucille has been waiting for her reawakening. Zero rust and solid throughout, she was ready for her makeover and the forthcoming spotlight. Fresh white, clear coated two stage paint and Shelby blue stripes scream her intentions. Her body is taut, straight and solid, and has been color sanded and buffed to a high sheen. Her mechanicals are strengthened and ready to pounce. Fresh Hipo rebuild with only break in miles on a hot 289 V8 bored 30 over and running a rv cam and an unleaded friendly valvetrain. Serious HP and a Posi Rear end. Every engine component and accessory is either new or freshly rebuilt with receipts and warranties. Complete rebuild on the transmission with a 220 stall torque converter to match the cam. Steering is all new with a fresh ram and bushings throughout. Everything we could find that wanted or needed attention was addressed. Shocks, suspension, entire drivetrain, interior and exterior. She’s fresh and newly touched throughout. Freshened exterior with the functional hood scoop, stripes, scoops and pipes, she screams down the boulevard. Even at a stop. Many of these 60’s Mustangs have succumbed to myriad transformations over the years, leaving them oddly familiar replicas of their former selves. Lucille has had her first nip, tuck and color at 50 with updates that make practical sense but still allow the driver to feel and know 1965. No wild enhancements and you won’t find any sensors or other modern tracking devices here. A stock appearing radio is actually a hands free bluetooth audio system. Digital radio with a new 300 watt amp and Pyle Driver speakers. Bluetooth, USB and Iphone connectivity are included and accessible through the glove box. The antenna has been removed from the fender and is now hidden under the dash. Your car cover will now fit without fighting the mast.. Recently freshened interior that is excellent throughout with new carpet, headliner and dash cap, her attitude is strictly 1965 and in your face. Staggered Riddler rims 17 x 7 and 18 x 8 custom fitted to this car and sportin sticky hankook ventus rubber means she holds tight in the curves and means business. Power steering and Power disc brakes. Now this is what a difference 50 years of evolution brings us. The standard issue manual drum front brakes were removed in favor of a new power, dual reservoir, front disc brake system. She now stops on a time and can give change. Originally born a redhead, Lucille wanted to live the next few years as a hot blond with racing stripes. She felt that the most desired and striking of all the color combinations was the Shelby classic white with metallic blue double stripes. She was right. The car runs as hot as it looks. The pumped 289 sounds nasty and can back up the threat the cam lopes suggest at idle Put the loud pedal down, and she goes like crazy and wails like only a small block Ford can do. The tight 220 stall converter was chosen to match the cam. The auto transmission shifts crisp as it snaps into gears. You’re at 70 before you realize the speed and if you can coax the sticky hankooks into a burnout, she owns the scene. The odometer shows 92k miles. This is a five digit odometer and potentially could be beyond it's capacity to measure.
