Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1989 Mustang GT, All previous owners were 50+ years old, this car was NEVER raced or abused. I painted the car last year and had a top notch shop do it. This car had ZERO rust, NO dents, No scratches at all. $4500 paint job with the original colors, Bright Regatta Blue with Titanium bottom. The new paint looks very nice. I painted the car because the original paint was faded, it was not peeling or damaged in any way. I can email photos of the car before I painted it if you want. This car had no issues with body work at all, every piece of the lower body panels were as new and had no cracks or scratches at all. When I have some work done (See below) at MV performance, the owner and all his staff told me this is one of the nicest stock fox body mustangs they had ever seen. When the car was painted, I replaced the plastic cowl cover, door weather stripping, sunroof rubber, door seals, window guides, door belt molding, drip rails, and window rubber. All seals and rubber are in great shape. The engine is 100% stock, it was tuned up with new plugs, Ford motorsport wires, rad hoses, and belts. Yes it still has the snorkel is in the fender well. I added a Steeda shifter, Ford motorsports 3.73 rear gears, welded sub frame connectors, and Maximum Motorsports adjustable rear lower control arms. I just installed a set of Steeda spring that lowered the car about 1 inch and stiffened up the right a bit. Exhaust is new BBK x pipe WITH CATS, and flowmaster cat back system. The BBK X-pipe is not shown in the under car pics. All emission parts are on the car and work properly. The wheels are original and I have just paid $700 to get them redone. They came out perfect as you can see in the photos. They were powder coated and CNC machined like the factory wheels. The factory radio was replaced with an Alpine deck, 6 new Pioneer speakers. I still have the original radio and it works fine. Interior is very clean with no tears or issues, A/C is ice cold and everything on the car work great. Here is the service that I have done to the car: 1) When the rear gears were installed, I had the axle bearing replaced. 2) I had a small oil leak that I thought was a rear main seal, but ended up being the oil pan gasket. I had new intake gaskets installed with new valve cover gaskets. I had a new Ford teflon rear main seal installed and a new FelPro oil pan gasket. Since it was apart, I also had a new clutch installed, including a new Steeda adjuster and new clutch cable. FYI, The original clutch was still good and still had about 30% material left. 3) The Power steering pump was loud, so it was replaced along with a new high pressure hose. 4) I replaced the heater core, and if you know what this is, you know what a big job this is. I used a original Ford part, and had it resoldered and tested before I installed it. The dealer charged over $1000 for this work. I am sure I am missing things and will add more info to this listing. This is a very nice car that I would drive anywhere. I am very happy to keep it if it does not sell. Please no low ball offers. The car will not leave my possession until I have cash in hand, No scams please. Please send any questions and I will answer as soon as I can. Low ball offer will be ignored. Thanks!
