Up for bid is a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle. This is your chance to get an affordable classic VW air-cooled project car. It will need a few small things, like the dash knobs, radio, some carpeting pieces, foam dash, amongst a few odds and ends. This can be a PROJECT OR PARTS CAR. It does not run, but with a little TLC can be up and running in no time. Pink slip in hand, currently registered till October (no back fees) but it does have a salvage title. Please read everything below and email be with any questions, before bidding. (((LOCAL PICK UP ONLY))) I currently do not have the means to ship this car. The winner of this auction, must pick up this car. It does not run, so it will need to be trailered home. You cannot drive this home. All transportation arrangements must be made solely by the auction winner. Again, I do not have the means to transport this car, schedule a freight company for you, etc.. Bid winner will need to pick up the car. Local buyer only. As for a few details on the car. All glass is clean and crack free. Newer rubber throughout. New rubber exterior glass seals, front, back, both rears. New "Installed" Headliner. Professionally installed headliner, black vinyl. Paid over $600 New seat covers for both front seats. Rear interior in good condition. Paint was painted in two tone. Ford Competition Orange and Ford Oxford White. Will need to be repainted. It is fairly rough. There are scratches, dings, and chips throughout. Right rear taillight will need to be painted to match the orange. Or drive as is. Engine was rebuilt a few years ago, dual port 1641cc. It will need to be tuned up. Someone needs to just go through the entire engine. Needs timing checked. Dual 40mm Kadrons. These need to be tuned and synced to the engine. This car does not run. It will crank, but currently will not fire over. It will need the carbs synced and adjusted, valves adjusted, oil changed, timing corrected, etc.. No warranty or guarantee on engine. Compu-Fire Coil and Electronic Distributor. Has Dual Port, Dual Kadron 40mm carburetors. Needs a stock turn signal switch. Previous owner put a aftermarket switch on the dash. The wiring may need to be looked at. Empi 8 Spokes, need to be cleaned, painted, and polished. They are showing their age, but should clean up nicely. Will look great powder coated black. The car also comes with 2 stock wheels. Not sure of the age of any of the tires. They came with the car when I purchased it 4 years ago. Rust with hole under the battery tray, rear passenger area. Will need to be removed, trimmed and a new panel welded in. Or drive as is. The car basically just needs to be gone through and tuned up. This car does not run. Everything is there, it just needs a little time and elbow grease. It runs, but you cant just drive it home. It will need minimal work. Salvage Title from previous owner. I believe it was hit on the right rear fender. It has since been repaired, but you can see where it was fixed under the rear wheel well. The registration current and up to date. Pink Slip in Hand. Registered till October 2015. This car is sold AS IS. No warranty, no promises. Basically this car is 46 years old and will need some work. Perfect project car.
