Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 2002 WRX. Currently has a 3' catless turboback exhaust (no idea which brand, there is no markings on anything.), and a grimmspeed ceramic coated uppipe, currently tuned to 17psi via opensource. Original stock TD04-13T turbocharger. Body and engine currently have 233,857mi on them. Transmission has less but i can't be certain how much less as i didn't receive paperwork for that with the car when i got it, same deal with the clutch. I bought this two years back with about 228,xxx on it ( i'll have to check the title for exact mileage) with intentions of swapping it, but ultimately decided that i would rather just buy an STi than do the swap. When i bought it, the car ran and drove poorly due to a bad o2 sensor, iacv, vac leaks, and dirty fuel/air filters, blown struts, bad brakes, and bald tires, all of which have been replaced with new parts or repaired. The car has new: KYB AGX2 struts (about 400mi on them) IACV Tires (Headway brand) Air/Oil/Fuel Filters Grimmspeed ceramic coated UP All new gaskets for everything from the TGV housings up Blackout Headlights Kartboy 5MT shifter bushings Brakes/Rotors Accessories Belt Spark plugs Lots of new fuses The good: The car runs and drives well (as well as a 230000+mi car can). The seats currently installed are JDM V7 STi seats in very good condition, and also has a 2004 STi spoiler/trunk installed. Currently has good NJ inspection until 9/15. Car has a clean NJ title, in hand. Car pulls hard and idles smooth. Has yellow fog lights currently installed. Lots of fun to drive. I've driven it on a few 3+ hour drives, and have never had an issue. Car doesn't seem to consume an inordinate amount of oil either, about 1/2 a qt every 3500 mi. The bad: The body is not in the best shape. I'd say probably 5/10, as the front bumper is cracked, there are numerous dents, dings and scratches on the car. I also would probably not recommend this car for someone looking for a DD. As i said before, it runs and drives well, (last compression test on 7-15-15 showed 150psi across the board) but it the car DOES have an original high mileage motor in it, that is in NO WAY perfect. I believe it would be best as a project car. All gears work, however they are sometimes difficult to find and first and third tend to grind. The interior (aside from the STi seats) is not the best. The horn doesn't work because it was broken when i bought it, so i removed it and never got around to replacing it. Car could use an alignment as well. Currently has an exhaust leak coming from where the midpipe and the axleback attach.
